Two manga titles I've been following regularly recently got their final chapters scanlated into English: 14-sai no koi and Yakumo-san wa edzuke ga shitai.

Both of them had inconclusive endings, but I was much happier with the way Yakumo-san ended. Perhaps it's because

Yakumo-san hints that the two lead characters may end up cohabitating,

whereas

14-sai had the couple getting into an argument as they were about to go their separate ways, which does not bode well for their planned long-distance relationship.

In any case, they were both very worthwhile reads, but my overall enjoyment of 14-sai was definitely dampened by the way it ended.

It just goes to show you how important the ending of a manga is. I really hope that Kaguya-sama wa kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no renai zunousen, which is on its final arc, manages to get the ending it deserves.

I was waiting for something to start on TV, and before that, there was One Punch Man.
I cut the sound and tried to not pay attention, but what I saw still brought a thought:
Is that anime actually surprisingly a fan-service anime for girls? I mean with all those male characters easily taking off all their clothes (not even leaving underwear)?

Seems like they are the names of the "Biblical Magi" as wikipedia call them...didn't check the full wiki article, so I'm not sure if/where would be the link with time travel, is it only a japanese thing?

I'm so glad I've never tried, and will never try, to watch the anime, it would be a major pain.

Might be good material for a video game though, mix of fighting game and rpg maybe, big fights using a fighting game system, but also ordinary battles with many enemies that allow to grind experience (something replaced in the manga by a "suddenly going to training in the middle of the event while other characters are still fighting" or other nonsenses).

I've been trying to pound it into some peoples' skulls (IRL) that 'manga' can refer to both anime and printed works.

They can't seem to wrap their minds around that concept.

My latest attempt has been comparing it to how if you're talking about a visual novel you can call it a 'game' and no one will get confused because of context.

also I found my new favorite pixiv tag: 「おっさんホイホイ」. Which to my understanding basically is like a cockroach trap but instead traps middle-aged/older people. In other words, an inescapable nostalgia bait/trap.

At first I thought the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manga was being superior to the anime that would have taken a wrong turn somewhere.
But now, I'm at 1/3 of the whole thing, and dead ends/nonsenses have been around for a while, so I can see how making an anime based on a last impression of later chapters, rather than how it was in the beginning, could give the result that can eventually be seen.

edit 2022-03-27: It's getting worse. Putting aside the fact all students were officially held back 1 year twice already, it doesn't really matter, since no one is going to school anymore anyway.
Also, somehow, even though I've advanced a lot since that intiial post content, I can still say I'm at "1/3 of the whole thing", since I'm slightly (between 50 and 100 images) below the threshold right now (not sure where I was before, but it must have been enough above 1/4 to say 1/3.

In kindergarten, that could start a game where we call you "mother" or "oka-san" from now on.

Still on SZS (that thing is looooooong), I just thought:

It was a fat girl that used an avatar looking obviously better than her to be a net idol, at some point (early) when they were display the class roster they replaced her image by her virtual self, but I feel like both have completely disappeared by now (I'm in volume 24, less than 1000 pages to go, but more than 500)
