I just got owned by a psych major. That's what I get for spouting random stuff to act like I'm all smart and shit.
EDIT : Oh, snap. There goes an unique occasion to try and make good use of my R&R training but it is 2:30 AM already here and I'm falling on my keyboard. I'm counting on you, folks. Please don't disappoint me. I want to have a good laugh and feel my sides when I wake up.

And DP, because you could.
Also, that numbered zombie with a military status won't let me sleep. And yet he pretends he's not a dick.
What a liar !

Most bands have ridiculous names and yet their fans don't give a damn.
It's the music that counts. And popularity. And trends. And shit like that.

And in perfect French, no less. Félicitations ! Tu as désormais le potentiel pour devenir un véritable trou du cul toi aussi, Benjiro !
I'll help you a bit there. "Congratulations ! You now have potential to become a genuine asshole as well, Benjiro !"
Also, uh, bon voyage, I guess ?
EDIT : I fail at my own language. Fuck, I've been relying on English too much recently. And Japanese. Still takes me a good two hours to write/reply to a decent PM in Japanese, though, mostly because I like to triple-check things.

QUOTE(Benjiro @ Apr 6 2012, 10:51) Je ne comprends pas de quoi tu parles. "Google is your friend" is frowned upon in France, because most of the people around here are lazy bums who don't even know how to use Google. So, you'll most likely end up pissing them off. I think that's what I meant. I'm not even sure. Also, bravo, that was another 100% score right there.

QUOTE(Pseudoshy @ Apr 6 2012, 02:03) Actually bipolar is nowhere near what the media portrays it as, and as the majority of people think of it. In bipolar disorder the moods don't change erratically like most people believe. In fact, if the moods change more than four times in one year its called Bipolar Disorder - Rapid Cycling Type. Usually a bipolar disorder (I or II) just means that you're depressed for a few months, you feel normal for a month or two, then you get a manic for a few days or weeks. And these have to qualify as actual depression and manic episodes in their own right. I remember my abnormal psych professor said that anything close to the double digits is extremely unnatural and they would resort to extreme therapies to try to bring the count down. Why is that called a disorder? I'd be more inclined to think that it's a disorder when general mood stays constant for years, no matter what happens around.

Shrinks like the "disorder" label. I don't mind as I don't see it as derogative. That doesn't mean I'm taking pride in being a sick fuck, either.
Also, most of my disorders were self-diagnosed in spite of my lack of skill in that domain because my shrinks suck. Or maybe I'm just making things up ?
Still, I fit the required amount of symptoms for each of them, so technically, each of them is a valid diagnosis as far as DSM-IV goes.

Last thing I thought : I now have a Twitter account. It's at least 20% cooler than Facebook in regards to privacy aggression settings.

Maybe it's considered a disorder if the mood changes are more extreme than they should be.

It's all about subjectivity. If you ask a shrink, it's a disorder as long as most of the symptoms are present. The symptom Dlaglacz described above indeed is part of a [ www.bipolardisordersymptoms.info] bipolar disorder as well, and is called apathy. Make sure you take note of all of the tabs, though. Such troubles are extremely hard to deal with because a symptom could be part of a very large amount of them. As such, you can't diagnose a patient from a single symptom and I guess that's why most shrinks resort to drug therapy instead. That, and because most of them fuckers want easy cash. I'm not a psych whiz like Pseudoshy nor a shrink, but if I recall correctly, there's a specific amount of symptoms required to successfully diagnose you with a condition. The more symptoms you have, the more likely you are to suffer from it - which is common sense - but they choose to go with a fixed amount instead. Or you could also [ www.fortunecity.com] read this. DSM and that other file are just a crutch for finding a proper diagnosis, going by them only, I would probably qualify for ALL THE disorders, which in reality, luckily, isn't the case. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) But yes, shrinks suck... I've been misdiagnosed as stuff ranging from ADHD to autism and dyspraxia before... Also, my father, I mean my real father, is bipolar and you'd hardly, if at all, notice, if you hadn't knowledge about such conditions.
