Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid (after Wikipedia'ing a bit about the last two since I had no idea what they were until now) were praiseworthy ideas but not exactly good ones in the current financial situation as that will only make things worse.
Still, drastically reducing war costs and trying to fix the subprime issues probably would have helped much more with the debt. Also, the usual, disproportionate and unnecessary government expenses you see in every fucking country. I'd bet my upper left lung the US are no exception to the rule. And I'm not even talking about the health care program abuse you see in every country, causing the Social Security financial gap to be deeper than the Grand Canyon. (France is well-ranked in that abuse domain, probably in the top 5)
I'm not well-versed in politics either. Most presidents fail because the system itself is a joke.

See the positive side: You can always study politics and engage yourself in them and swooplah: Suddenly you're a politician yourself and drain funds for doing nothing! Sounds like a plan? Hell yeah!(Might eventually not work in every country <.<; )

Sure, if you're an idiot. And if this needs to come from "the masses" then maybe you should do it in a place that isn't full of people that don't agree with your viewpoint. Because that's kind of like motivating a skyscraper to move of its own volition.
Then you think it's best to argument that in places where everyone already knows how it works? That doesn't make sense to me - why try to educate where people are already educated?

Even though pixiv is fully aware e-hentai (as well as other popular 2D porn sites and boorus) holds most of the works uploaded there, Japanese artists in general don't like their pictures to be posted somewhere else. This would probably result in a deathmatch between Tenboro's ponies and pixiv admin's 2D yakuza. Pixiv generally allows for reproduction in their ToS now if there's a link back to the artist or picture itself, but that's besides your backup idea.
Considering how many premium accounts people have on pixiv now (meaning a likely positive balance regardless of how many servers they have), Tenboro could always try that but I doubt they'd agree to it.
LLTYT : 5 weeks ago, I thought I couldn't live without pixiv. I loaded a couple pics on that emergency iPad (fucking Apple shit with no accessible filesystem unless you jailbreak it) then completely forgot about it. Maybe it'll all come back once I allow my hormones to go berserk again, but it'll be way too late to catch up on the new stuff. For now, I'll just limit myself to the 2ch GL/yuri book finding thread since even minor conventions are far in between (with GLF7 on April 1st) and the thread is pretty much dead. You do realize that was half joke and half gripe about the number of pixiv account rip galleries we have. I think that one uploader has around 1000 or so of them.

I sometimes very often fail to decipher my own handwriting. Maybe I should become a doctor?
Bad handwriting is pretty common. Smart doctors use word processors and print prescriptions to prevent drugstore misinterpretations (and hide the fact that their handwriting most likely is worse than yours).
I've only seen that happen twice outside of hospital, though.
Most generalists here have level 1 computer skills and would rather have their patients take methotrexate (sp?) instead of meteoxane by accident. (Always fully read the leaflet before taking the actual medicine. Doctors often tell you that's bullshit and will only cause you to freak out about the possible side effects, but it's well worth it.)

Sometimes I look at one of my scribbled notes and wonder what I was trying to write. Fortunately, most of my work is done on computers and most of my handwritten work are design documents and a math equations. oshi- is that a 3 or a 5?
