Revelation from mother: my uncle is not exactly a nice and honest guy like I always thought. Likes to say bad things about my parents and siblings behind our backs, does he? We're the "devil" while his adopted daughter is still an "angel" to him, even though she swindled his money, lied about her supposed PhD education in Australia and kept her pregnancy a secret from him. We gave him moral support when he went into depression after he found out the truth about his daughter. Doesn't that mean anything to him?

I used to share some of John Pinette's viewpoint on salad, but now that I'm a little older and a little less stupid (or maybe just stupid in a different way), I notice I'm partial to them more often.

It's the dressings that ruins salads.

But a good dressing can cover up a moldy, potentially harmfully awful tasting salad! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm trying to let go of my debilitatingly hostile and aggressive mien and try to calm down a bit, which, at the same time, seems a bit problematic as I have no other personality. But staying in that milieu would eventually become destructive, and while hysterics and caustic behavior may, indeed, be humorous to some, there is no more place for them in my heart. I will make it so.
However, where will it take me..? I wonder...

Sometimes letting go of all preconceived notions and finding the stillness of the nothingness in your mind has soothing effects. You may even find another person you were meant to be and enjoy that personality a lot more. Unfortunately, letting go of negative emotions is the hardest part for any human, and it has been a mostly impossible task for me, but I try daily. Negativity really is quite taxing emotionally and physically.

Waking up, feeling like garbage after resting naturally for ten to twelve hours every day just... it sucks. There's really no other way to describe it.

I wish you had my book Manufacturing Depression. The way that guy described his fits of depression and emotional crises reminds me of some of the things you say. Plus, its always interesting to see what others experiencing the same thing you are feel about their experiences.

Doing nothing is cancer for your life...
My father never worked & never had any hobbies in his life. All he did is marriage & playing poker. Today he feels like a garbage, he's aggressive, he moans, he says that nothing keeps him to live e.t.c
But I should thank him though, 'cause he opened my eyes. I prefer moving & appreciate the little things, even if it feels stupid. I know that life is technically meaningless, but it's up to you to give it some value.

Then how am I still alive? Most cancer kills you. Also, woo. I'm 20 now.

If I believed in miracles, I'd believe that. But I don't. So I'll just assume luck.

That's because you're not adept at doing nothing yet (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) +1 in support for Rad reading up on depression and all its sneaky ways of skewing one's thoughts.

Why is it that every time an infomercial uses the line "for that I'd have to get out my big stand mixer" it's something I do with a fork?

Perhaps you have a very big and muscular hand arm? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Edit: fun fact. In Polish the word for hand is usually used to mean both hand and arm. The word for arm is very rarely used. This post has been edited by Dlaglacz: Mar 11 2012, 13:07

I don't have these machines and I prefer doing it by hand anyway. I even do whipped cream and egg whites by hand if I need them. It's good exercise.

Me too, actually. Cleaning these contraptions takes more time than using simple tools. And cleaning machines usually don't do a through job.
