I know it's pretty debatable, but I think I'm on the side that we're worse off for ever having hand sanitizer. People get sick where I work all the fucking time and I keep expecting that eventually I'm going to succumb to one of these one day and yet I've been there a year without nary a sniffle. Now there's this hacking cough going around and yet still I sit without even a scratch in my throat.

I took notice today that my desk is the only one without a bottle of hand sanitizer sitting on it. Possibly a coincidence but it just feels like these germaphobes just seem to fuck themselves over in the long run.

Hand sanitizer, post-frontier medicine and helmets/kneepads can go get wrecked for ruining society.

I think there was a study that indicated alcohol-based hand sanitizers aren't effective at killing germs. And yeah, being exposed to minor germs is actually better for your immune system than killing them all and living in a plastic bubble.

I worked in a warehouse with over six hundred people for five years and never actually caught a cold or flu. Some people just have shitty immune systems.
