QUOTE(cptkleenex @ Feb 5 2012, 17:01) *

I normally watch the old Michael Jackson Super Bowl show during halftime but I'm a tiny bit curious about the Madonna one this year. I don't know what I'm expecting except for possible tears at the end and an uncontrollable shaking but what the hell... here we go.

Post show edit: My hat sure is delicious because I was actually pretty entertained by it. Madonna still has a pretty good stage presence and I'm frankly impressed by that. I would have preferred LMFAO and Nicki Minaj would have stayed the hell away but I'd actually say I was pleasantly surprised by it. Bravo Madonna, though you've been a bit bitchy in the public spotlight lately, you still have my respect.

I gave my review on all of it in the Stupid Celebrity News thread before I saw your post here.

Man, my dad was so heartbroken that his beloved Patriots lost. That was a close game and both teams were really evenly matched. Fuck, I can't stand Eli Manning. And on top of losing, Brady has to go home to his tranny wife, Gisele Bundchen.

My roommate has been gone all freaking day, and I got no idea where he's been. I gotta say, I enjoy the quiet and darkness of this place when I'm all alone.

Chargers fans do not like Eli Manning and we think he's a pussy. The bad blood goes back to when he didn't want to be our quarterback. But yeah, both teams did a good job. Anyway, I mostly watched Puppy Bowl during the first half and then when that was over, Madonna came on and I devoted my time to watching the rest of the game. I really had no idea toward the end who would win it. Seems like Brady pooped out when it came down to mere seconds and just couldn't pull it out of his ass. I wanted the Pats to win because that's my dad's team, otherwise I wouldn't give a shit.

Some of the Super Bowl commercials were really good.

Eli Manning reminds me of Tim Tebow+. He's an overall average, mostly streaky quarterback, yet he somehow manages to to pull it off in the end. The only difference is that his brilliance can last for games instead of one quarter and when he hits his stride, he hits it at the right time.

Did you happen to see between commercial breaks when they were showing the different Super Bowl rings? OMG, they're encrusted with gems and huge diamonds and are really ornate. My eyes were dazzled. I don't think I've ever seen those rings up close like that.

Go to that pawn shop in Vegas that's on that Pawn Stars show and you can buy one.

Watching the local news here is hilarious. They're just going on and on about how New York isn't that good of a team and that anyone who compares the team of Coughlin/Manning to Belechick/Brady is out of their mind. "You have to remember that Tom Coughlin was one loss away from losing his job and this team could only barely make it into the playoffs as a 9-7 team, so really they aren't as good as people say they are." Really, they just beat your team so yea.

The Eli and Giants beat Brady and the Pats in the Super Bowl. Twice. So... *drops the mic*

The commercials this year were kinda meh.

the sole of my shoe does a high note squeak sound when i rub the chair's leg. I'm trying to play "jingle bells" with it.

If I do it here in the office and all my coworkers have to hear it, could that be considered trolling or annoying?

I'm having one of those days where I'm not depressed, but I'm thinking about myself, pretty heavy shit that would make people think I'm depressed and I can't think of an outlet that won't result in some annoying, unnecessary sympathy.

Do what I do and write whatever comes to mind in your own thread in the GSC? I find that very helpful and I get to keep it away from the majority of everyone's eyes while keeping it open to serious conversations from a small group of intelligent individuals.
