Any country that goes into isolation risks economic stagnation. The ability to trade overseas is extremely important. If America closed it's doors to the rest of the world, who is china going to sell it's things too? Wait, I mean, where is America going to sell it's things too? Americans? I never said cut off trading, I said pull out of these places. That means end any wars we're in or any military assistance we're offering to other countries and shut down our bases overseas. Then if/when another country needs assistance, whether it's from aforementioned disasters or in need of defense, we just say "nah, we're good".
