QUOTE(cptkleenex @ Jan 21 2012, 18:08) Newt Gingrich wins South Carolina.
Can't they all just go home since none of them will win the general election?
If they did that CNN will have nothing to talk about.

Oh Ron Paul, you're just so cute.
He was just ranting to all of his supporters about how the voice of the people is now being heard (after him getting dead last). His example of this is everybody getting together this week to delay/end the Stop Online Gambling Act.
Yup, that's what we were all protesting against. I fucking love me some online gambling and how dare congress try to take that away from me!?

Oh 9gag, the place where creativity goes to die. Want to make it to the front page? Here's how:
Call Justin Bieber or Twilight faggots. Make a post about how every American is fat and stupid or blame every citizen for SOPA. Post pictures of Freddie Mercury and say how awesome he is. Post a picture of an NES game and say "you guys remember this?"
Whatever you do, do not try to be creative, it will go nowhere.

You know, it suddenly occurs to me just how much foreigners think they understand about the things that happen in the US, and just how under the microscope this country is.
I mean, they read stupid shit on the internet that they think is news and then spout it like it's the gospel. What you're reading is all the negative bullshit that happens on this planet, and repeating whatever biased news source you're reading this crap from, regardless of whether or not it's antagonistic, doesn't make you seem like you know what you're saying, it just points out how absolutely ignorant, judgmental and gullible you are.
Yeah, the US may not be perfect, but who the hell was ever claiming it was? I don't try to think we know the ins and outs of whatever is happening in the UK, or China, or East Bumfuckistan, since I don't like appearing as if I'm a mouthpiece for whatever stupid ideological pandering someone else is trying to get across.

If the US didn't extend so much political pressure outside its boundaries, people would probably care less.

FTFY I've not done anything, it would be behoove you to not make the generalize blanket statement that debases and dehumanizes the average citizen that doesn't bullshit everything up. Really, it shows how up your own ass you are when you try to rationalize something that's skirting very close to prejudice.

Well, how do you imagine US citizens actually exerting pressure outside US? Of course I meant government.

You should know Radixius, that the media NEVER lies and NEVER has an agenda. Face it, the press has dictated for years how countries should be run and how they should be perceived around about the time religion stopped running countries. I don't like it any more than you do but if I have a conversation like this with someone I simply ask the question: "when was the last time the news was filled with good stories from around the world highlighting the GOOD in the world?" And of course the answer is never. Because good stories don't grab attention as much as fear-mongering does. And make no mistake, that is what the press does. Misinformed people passing judgement? Shock-Horror.
