Concerning jogging/running, what do you think it's better for general fitness...

... Taking long sprints but few overall or doing lots of sprints but way shorter?
... Sprinting during downwards paths or taking them slowly?
... Sprinting during upwards paths or taking them slowly?
... Taking your time to regain full breath or force the body a bit?

make the sprints not too short but also not too long, just as you think it to be right.
It's much more important that you manage to keep on jogging at your usual pace after the sprint, no matter how much your lungs might burn. but rather make them shorter and weaker than ending up screwing with your intestines...
