QUOTE(Azraelgt @ Jan 4 2012, 18:28) Something like that happened to me, after i moved out of my house, burglars broke into the department where i slept, they took the tv, pc and cash and other valuables, it was a real pain to get back on my feet. The idea of owning a house lodged in my thick head so, year and a half later i have it, but still i got the mortage to pay. until i finally pay it. i'll start calling it My Home. 1 or 2 years at the most.
After that the money will no longer be a problem, and the donations will start flowing.
That's not a mistake, you got robbed and you were a victim. My situation was a mistake. I lost money because someone somehow was draining money on one of my bank accounts (even though I had my check card on me the entire time) and I never checked my bank statements. This was many years ago. When I finally noticed like 6 months later it was too late to do anything, according to the bank, since I took so long to report it. They had taken out over 5k in cash from a few consecutive ATM withdrawals. I have a thousand dollar a day limit so it didn't take them long to do it all. I'm thinking whoever did this had some sort of technology that copies swiped card information (because all the transactions were from a certain ATM) and they cloned my card.

Its not a credit card; I've never had a credit card. I was slightly distraught over losing 5k but I just said 'oh well'. It was my fault after all for not keeping an eye on my money. Thankfully they stopped at 5k. If they had taken ALL 15k+ I had in that account I would have lost my shit hardcore and people would have died.

card cloning is a serious shit, they use atm's to copy your data, and have cameras to see you pin, I'm seriously sorry for what happened to you P.Shy. In my country we have a relatively new security measure, the bank sends to your phone an sms whenever you make an withdrawal or a buy. It's very handy and cheap. Fucking bastards at least the bank should have conducted an inquiry, and if you had made an accusation to the police, they at least should have provided the images of the times were the money was withdrawn, so at least those robbers could be caught. In my opinion it would be wise for you to change banks, because sadly they don't take you and your account as importantly as they should. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

It's not really country specific, my bank calls me any a withdrawal outside of my usual spending habits happens to ensure I authorized it. When I moved from Florida to Massachusetts and saw all the gas receipts and new charges out of state, they immediately called me, got my authorization and made sure to note that most charges would now come from that state.

I hate money, it causes nothing but stress for me.
I wish I could hunt beavers and trade the pelts for video games and college tuition.

Free food and lodging, your entire paycheck is basically spending money. It isn't hard to save up money with a steady paycheck. Plus, tax free money on deployment makes it even better. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) well, the story is long and complicated so I'll get into it some other time, but a quick summary of it is I was forced to make a moral choice and I ended up losing the money to not fuck over a friend. Also, when the fuck did they start checking ID at this joint?

I wish I could use rocks and pebbles. I have an abundance of those in the yard.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Ever since they caught me doing an entirely consensual trade of lucky charms.

It's not a porno if no one captures it to film.

If you're afraid his anus might cause you harm, then sure.
