Train your heavy armor and smith. If you find any armor/jewelery/potions that give you a boost in smithing once you reach 100, you can add additional points to your armor. I'm walking up to giants and and killing them without losing no more than a quarter of health.

I've wanted to give smithing a try for a while now, but it seems like such a drag. As for giants, I'm an archer, so I can kill them without taking any damage. Pretty neat.

Wouldn't mind crafting myself a badass bow however...

I've wanted to give smithing a try for a while now, but it seems like such a drag. As for giants, I'm an archer, so I can kill them without taking any damage. Pretty neat.

Invest in iron ingots/ore and leather strips at Warmaidens (Buy them from both the Redguard woman and the Nord guy who runs the counter inside) and just use their forge to make a ton of iron daggers. You'll probably make about 350-400 of them before you're fully leveled. Then when you reach 100, get some ebony ingots, leather and a Daedra heart and craft yourself a badass Daedra bow. Be sure to improve it on the grindstone too and get yourself a flawless bow. Again, if you anything that will boost your smithing stats past 100, wear/use them when you improve for more points to your damage.

I did that already years ago (all without drugs), although I listened to John Lee Hooker and Howling Wolf. I also didn't completely turn off the light but instead dimmed it with a dark blue sweater what made the whole atmosphere even more ominous... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

So I'm only gonna be making iron daggers to get to 100 smithing? Won't that take forever?

Also, is ebony the strongest?
