Ah yes, the 90's. For me, it was an almost "peaceful" period. I remember a time when many Muslim women wore shorts and remain "free hair" without eliciting much commotion. Few would bat an eye over pictures of women in sexy leotards doing workouts or women posing for the camera with her underwear visible through her sheer robe. Censorship wasn't strict, locals were more tolerant and the lack of internet and social media meant staging protests and spreading religious propaganda online weren't a thing back then.

I could have predicted this a long time ago...
