Bank ATM card can function as a debit card and it doesn't require users to pay an annual fee. Furthermore there are two companies that offer debit card which are tied to users' E-wallets. One claims that annual fee has been waived "unconditionally" and the other only charge users RM8 annually. That's way cheaper than the RM25 fee for bank credit card. So there's no reason for me to activate the new credit cards when they arrive.

There is one benefit of credits cards though, that my bank is only of two in my country that allow its credit card users enjoy 0% interest rate if they opt to pay in installments on a popular online shopping platform. It was useful when I was purchasing parts to overhaul my custom PC specs back in 2019.
