Meh. It won't fix anything; it won't humble anyone. The same disparity between the haves and have-nots will exist, just in starker contrast. Even if the country is literally reduced to burning rubble, there will still be a handful of people living in luxury somewhere, mainly at the expense of everyone else.
Nothing will change from the same old war crap. I swear, I'm gonna start loving and accepting some motherfuckers even if it kills me.

This country was built on outrage.
And humans have a poor history of changing themselves.
What, exactly, did you think would happen?

Everything that's happening is what I thought would happen. Doesn't mean I can't hope for something different.

Funny thing is you're all looking at this through the eyes of just being American. If this entire country goes to shit and becomes a third world country itself, the rest of the world will go on. Probably living better than before.

I'd love to see that.
Sometimes I wonder where my desire to see certain people suffer comes from.

QUOTE(Pseudoshy @ Oct 17 2011, 06:52) I may sound cruel for wishing this, but I don't give a motherfuck.
I want the economy to collapse. I want to see this country brought to its knees. I want the government to bring about martial law. I want to see mass anarchy with no real purpose behind their revolution. I want to see blood on the streets. I want to see this country burn, and suffer, and pay. I want to see America finally suffer a little bit of pain.
At this point I really just want to see this country burn.
I say this with all sincerity. You know why? Because the U.S. has caused such pain on other countries for over two centuries. Plain and simple.
My thought is: if US burns, it'll take Europe and China with it.

If America crashes and burns there's a very real chance the world economy will get even more screwed up.
Less than if this happened, say, seven years ago, since BRIC are doing so well, thank whatever powers-that-be.
I mean, yeah, I might be looking from the inside out, but hoping this country fails is incredibly ignorant of everyone we have trade agreements, or whatever else, with. It will have global ramifications. Just like if China crashed and burned, just like if Japan crashed and burned, just like if the UK crashed and burned. Really, if any of the superpowers went tits up.
But I guess, you know, whatever, who cares, right?

China? Never. It's like a huge version of Switzerland. Only communist and evil instead of federal republican and neutral.

I'd say Neutral Evil, which is better, I suppose.

Even a superpower like Greece (sorry BrainSucks) is about to "crash and burn", and is taking European Union with them.

I have a Nutella jar injury. Last night when I was trying to get my fingers down into the jar to get every last bit, I maneuvered my hand in there the best I could and was doing pretty well but I ended up scraping a good chunk of skin off the top of my middle finger and a little bit off the ring finger. Those damn jar rims are sharp. But it was good and worth it. Like a bear going for honey: (IMG:[ i27.lulzimg.com] http://i27.lulzimg.com/eec3276040.jpg) *dig dig dig*(IMG:[ i27.lulzimg.com] http://i27.lulzimg.com/d02855dd2b.jpg) *OM NOM NOM NOM*(IMG:[ i27.lulzimg.com] http://i27.lulzimg.com/179a38b57d.jpg) WOOT!

If you can't snort derisively at a person, then what's the point of living?

I think it's called human nature.
