10 years from now you'll cringe at your current posts, too. That's how it always goes. It's not just a matter of maturity and changing as a person, although it's a bit of that also. A lot of Internet posting is done on the spur of the moment and impulsively, when those feelings and thoughts you had while posting are long gone while reading it back years later you end up feeling it's moronic drivel.
I'm not trying to insult you. It's the same for most people, including myself. Think of how many of your favorite tv shows, real life "heroes", musicians from 15 years ago you find utterly lame and phony now? Lots probably. Humans are constantly changing, hypocritical, myopic creatures.
Reading the replies from all of you I am glad that others also kind of feel this way haha, thinking about how I'll cringe again in time anyway is definitely a better way to look at this!
After sleeping on it maybe part of it also bothered me so much because while I've never really posted much online except the few posts from a long time ago, I've never stopped reading others opinions as it has always been interesting to look at things from a different viewpoint.
But especially now, when spending so much more time online than usual with an endless stream of others thoughts (especially when I disagree with someone) guess it made me want to start having my own voice again, which was when I looked up my old posts and started wondering if that was such a good idea haha.
If I had never stopped posting in the first place maybe the progress would've been more visible if that makes sense.
