I agree with Anto. Is not a bad thing to have attachments with a internet person,
as long you can see the difference or relation between internet with a real person.

For example: I have good relation with my relatives & some of my friends (in real life), but whatever
you'll say, you can't totally express yourself (ok, I don't mean exposing your dick or anything like that).
So... here comes the internet, chatting about your personal interests without being judged from your
people in real life ^____^

And mark this big difference Tensei: If is gonna be any misunderstanding with the person you want
to live chat, don't forget he's just a personality behind from avatar. You'll just ignore him & proceed.

Since when does there have to be differentiation between an internet person and a real person. Yes, there can be those who hide behind an avatar or some sort of internet image, but there are real people on the other end of the keyboard ya know? One of my absolute best friends is someone I spent probably the first two years talking to online until we ever talked on the phone. Fuck, it was like 7 years before we ever even met. Still great friends.

I'm sure you all remember my last foray into the world of getting to really know someone on the internet. Sure, it was messy at times and surely didn't end the way I would have preferred, but I still have fond memories regardless.

Not every man is a testosterone filled fratboy, not every woman is a dumb cunt. Not every person on the internet is trolling or pretending either. People just get so easily jaded by a few bad experiences.

While I mostly agree with rad & cappy here, it is a fact though that emotions are not the easiest thing to control for everyone. It largely depends on the individual.
