Rappers are not all created equal. My only experience with Lupe Fiasco is with his appearance on Colbert, but he seemed okay. My main peev with him was that he created another one of those songs where they have a female singer there just for the chorus. I dislike that trend very much. If you like her voice, why does she get two lines of lyrics in the song?

Also, I will not take Kanye seriously until he loses some ego or starts releasing singles that DON'T have their beat, theme, etc. ripped directly from another more talented artist. A rapper without his own music is just a shit-talker who gets paid.

The reason they put female singers and whatnot in their songs is because it sells. Thats all that needs to be explained. $$$

Given the music I've heard and the lyrics I've read for Dark Fantasy, Power, Blame Game... yeah, I can tell you exactly that. Was it art? I guess. Was it good? Not by any standards I know.

Waking up at 1 am or rubbing your nipples. I've woken up at 1 am before myself. Mainly after falling asleep at 8 pm. But I roll with it like a pickle, dill with it with relish. I just go back to sleep when that happens.

I heard that Lupe was feeling suicidal after the execs said that B.O.B's version of Nothin on You was better than his. I still think The Show Goes On is pretty damn good for being on an album the artist himself doesn't like.
