Are you talking about ones that specifically work with Kinect or good 360 games in general?
Second question, why type of games do you enjoy most?

Either, but Kinect games would be preferred, since the Wii was already supposed to be a fun family activity and I was like, "No. Buyin' No More Heroes, MadWorld, Muramasa, Manhunt 2, Red Steel 2, every single-player game ever made; this console is mine now, bwahahah." Genre-wise, I love adventure games. I really don't do shooters unless they're something off-the-wall like Killer7 or Mercenaries. I was contemplating Mass Effect 2 but need to remember how the gameplay actually works since I've never played a Mass Effect game. I'm guessing I should look into the Batman Arkham games, and something about El Shaddai titillated me when I saw screenshots.

The Batman games are good, though I preferred the first over the second just because it actually had a degree of control with it instead of just being a mishmash of random encounters. Mass Effect is just your overall basic 3rd person shooter like Gears of War, only with RPG elements and a much larger story. Given that you'd be getting Mass Effect on the 360, you'd really need to play the first one. The PS3 put a digital comic thing on Mass Effect 2 that let you go through the story real quick like without playing it so you at least knew what was going on. El Shaddai seemed really boring but it's dirt cheap so it could be worth the risk if you're up to it.
You might consider Shadows of the Damned. It's by the same dude who made Killer7. It's not as crazy but it's a fairly fun game. Alan Wake was also really good. I enjoyed the Condemned games if you can enjoy 1st person horror/suspense type games. Might want to check out some videos or something first.
As for Kinect games, that one I'm no help on. Review wise, the Kinect is pretty poor on critical acclaim. The only games that seem to get well reviewed are the dance games released by Ubisoft.

Aha. Thanks, I knew I was forgetting a good one. Hadn't heard of Condemned (in terms of gaming news, I kind of live in a cave) but I'll give 'em a look. This post has been edited by FourThirteen: Feb 7 2012, 08:56

They were closer to launch so they haven't been in the news for a while. They aren't going to be amazing but they were enjoyable to me. I just figured you probably wanted some different stuff than "OMGz Halo, CoD and Gears of War". The entire internet already tells you to get those.

Exactly. The fanboyism that surrounds shooters kind of amazes me sometimes, but I can at least appreciate their enjoyment a little. Less so for Call of Duty and the like because it seems like they release new installments of those almost as often as sports games, and people still scramble to buy the new one every year, as if it's going to be so much better than the one they churned out 18 months earlier that it justifies another $50-60. Anyway, if I'm going to kill fictional people, I prefer it be in melee. I'm a hands-on, up-close-and-personal kind of guy when it comes to mass murder.

Then Condemned might be your type of game. Pipes, locker doors, wood with nails in it, shovels... these are your weapons of choice.

It all comes down to how tight the controls feel, but sounds good so far.

At least give the first one a try. It's got a nice feel to it and is just real gritty and nice atmosphere. The 2nd one goes a little bit more for the crazy and doesn't pull it off as well. It also forces you to use guns a little bit more so it loses it's charm.

Bioshock and Bioshock 2, because they are fucking incredible for first person shooty-types. And I motherfucking hate first person shooty-types.
Bastion if you don't have it for computer box because it's one of the prettiest games I've ever played.
Islands of Wakfu since it's an adventure type game where your character punches things, or you can be a dragon if you want to spit at crap, it's got nice puzzle elements and, as I posted earlier, it's the prettiest game I've ever played.
That's really all I've got so far. I've also purchased all the Sonic games available in the XBLA. Nothing else is really worth it.

I just saw the most interesting review headline for Kingdoms of Amalur.
"It's the Kanye West of RPG's"
That's supposed to mean that it takes a lot of things that we already know and combines it into something that feels new.
Oh, the Darkness II came out today too? I'll have to pick that up on the cheap one day too. I had fun with the first one.

The story isn't the greatest in the world, but the gameplay and atmosphere were fun. The multiplayer on the first one was horrendous though. The second one looks like it went for a comic book feel and apparently polished the co-op aspect of things. It's not a top tier, must have for me but I want it at some point.

To FourThirteen:
You should consider at least renting The Gunstringer to play on your Kinect. It has good art style and humor, even if it does utterly lack replay value.

The television ad campaign drives that point home.
