QUOTE(macksting @ Dec 27 2011, 19:24) Pity. The free game I got was Oblivion. I've not the hardware to play it, but I own it now. Eventually, that hardware will fall into my lap by one means or another. I hear there are excellent mods.
In reply to the original question, I just bought Knights of the Old Republic. Fun game, that.
Knights of the Old Republic was fucking fun.

QUOTE(Lolicon_of_Sin @ Dec 28 2011, 00:52) I'm telling you... you will regret you did. If you haven't done so already, before you fight WoF you should mine an entire 3block+ tunnel all around your town/base, or isolate it with a thick layer of mud, so it can't get infected. The hallow and corruption will spread FAST. Also, don't be fooled, hallow is worse than corruption especially underground. By all means do not fight corruption with hallow.
That's what I meant by ready. I've removed the existing Corruption completely, isolated my deserts, oceans, and jungles with 5-wide shafts lined with wood, my base is underground with the entrance protected by a lava moat, my outer walls are three blocks thick + three more in dungeon bricks. I've also got an underground tunnel across the entire map. Once the hardmode biomes are spawned, I'll dig another set of shafts to further contain them and the Corruption will also get a wall to prevent spitters from crossing. Amat Victoria Curam.

Crysis 2 is not as much fun as I thought. The levels are so linear compared to its predecessor. There are not many hiding places and escape routes to evade enemy swarms.

My friend gave me his copy of Penumbra: Black Plague. But it seems it has securom on it and I can't activate it anymore. Hrm. Now I get why they called it "black plague"...

Why won't the dead enemies in Crysis 2 drop some grenades for me?

I know I'm late to the game but I must say bravo to you Bioware. RPG's tend to have a problem with not making the final battle sequence feel like... well, a final battle, but you damn sure did a great job with the entire sequence at the end of Mass Effect 2. You bastards are masters with dialog and it actually feels like a really tense situation with the bonding of a team.
Good show.

Rayman 1 is a surprisingly difficult son of a bitch.

I just realized I only use one tactic in Crysis 2. After luring enemies out, I hide behind cover, activate cloak, step out, shoot (in short bursts) and hide again. Then repeat all over.

One of my friends just mentioned their highlights from 2011 on Facebook. Among them were getting a new job, getting closer with her boyfriend and just typical stuff. One of her highlights was Halo Anniversary though. I said "if a video game is part of your highlights for year, it was not a noteworthy year", to which one of her friends replied "I guess that just shows us you aren't a real gamer". Fucking nerd labels... how I hate them.

True enough but it just seems that it's the group that most often wants to create those labels using things like "true" and "hardcore" all the time.

But they're also one of the most stringently bigoted and unlikeable groups of people. Trade-off, I suppose.

Which really seems pretty odd ya know? You would think that this group that so often considers themselves "outsiders" would be a bit more accepting of people like them. You can't be part of their group if you play Facebook games. You can't be part of their group if you haven't seen show A.
Ha, I guess that's why I can't fit in with any group. At their core they're all douchetaints.

Lady Gaga is assailing me pretty much every day, mostly due to CBS using Marry the Night (or whatever it is, they all sound German(otta) to me) in their promos, so I'm deciding to take my anger out on you.
But in a positive fashion.
We'll see how long that lasts.

Positive until it drills a hole in your head and then you seek my blood.
Or maybe you'll come to like her and seek out my wisdom.
I'm leaning much more heavily towards one of those outcomes.
