Never mind that, they're making a new game called Marathon that the marketing department decided must be about running, it sounds like a cross between Temple Run and Made in Abyss, and... it has absolutely nothing to do with the original Marathon series that put Bungie on the map. So is it a relaunch of Marathon or isn't it? "It's a reimagining of Marathon... We want you to buy it because you remember the original, but we don't want to give you the original game."

So, it's a PvP extraction shooter. If it was a remake of the original, this would have gotten my attention. I mean, I did play Halo for the same of its campaign mode.

Speaking of remake, if the rumor about the Halo remake is true, then I hope Halo Studios, Microsoft or whatever would do it right this time. The Halo Anniversary remaster actually didn't do the campaign enough justice. Graphic upgrade is fine, but the environment had become too bright. The horror feel in the Flood encounter was completely lost as a result, because the focus was more on the shiny, detailed interiors rather than blood and zombie goo. The flashlight which was a feature in the original was also made pointless. The swamp, the canyons, the Library, the heavily damaged Truth & Reconciliation, the corridors in the Pillar of Autumn. We were meant to navigate in the dark. We were meant to feel hopeless against the Flood.

It's been so long since Halo Infinite had any sale on Steam.

Just did my first touhou normal no death and it's th12, which is kinda funny considering how a lot of people tie 12 and 11 as the most difficult to normal 1cc (we don't talk about 15). Spam early green UFOs and you will be swimming in bombs to spam in later stages.

Hmm...interesting concept but not really feeling it from the gameplay footage they have on display. Looks too simple and jank.

Can't see it faring too well in the FPS market.

Nintendo bricking people's switch 2s if they try to load a pirated game is backfiring as people are just returning them to the retailer or e-retailer and then they are getting resold whilst bricked.

So its not actually harming people that want to pirate that the new corpo masters of nintendo want to target, its hitting randoms and kids.

edit: its not a full brick usually, the issue is that you lose all online functionality and a large amount of games that are online now.

Seems like Yuzu + Ryujinx made them chimp out majorly with this new system, wouldn't surprise me if layers of DRM crap running in the background is what's slurping up people's battery life.

Never tried gayfuel before but I heard a lot of streamers shill for it. I only consume monster drinks (albeit in very limited quantity) since it never fails to give me quantifiable better performance both during gaming and gym.

After Eric Nylund authored The Fall of Reach, Bungie at the time stated they considered all novelizations as canon. Only after Halo Reach, Bungie's final Halo game was released, did they state the novels are "supplementary" and that the game is the true canon.

Then there's the confusion on which side retconed the relationship between the Forerunners and humans. On one hand, it's by 343i when they started developing Halo 4. On the other, it's Bungie themselves midway through Halo 3's development. Either way, the new canon contrasted multiple lines spoken by 343 Guilty Spark that heavily implies humanity are the descendants of the Forerunners, rather than separate races.

The temperatures are high and hardware is unreliable (sometimes the PC just freezes and reboots itself), so I tend to play games with not-so high end graphics made by single devs or very small studios.
It's probably a bit weird to play "pixel games" on a 4k monitor, but here we go.

At least the games are fun. Don't avoid games just because they are missing 8K textures. Even pixel top-down games can be fun. And even "pixel games" can look quite beautiful.

Did 5 cans for breakfast during my final university year while chasing project deadlines. To this day I still wonder how I didn't die back then. I'm trying to cut down on the monster cans but they are really effective at making me game better or push heavier weights in the gym so I keep going back.

Open the case panel and blast a floor fan at it. Yes it's dust galore but I'm keeping all my HDDs at -8C compared to no fan now.

Ah no, my computer is not unreliable due to the high temperature. It's just that I don't want to play graphics heavy games to avoid the computer raises the temperature in the room.

The tip with the open panel and a fan blasting at the hardware works indeed, I did that once several years ago. Would not do again.

(oh and fuck early access games with lots of years development time)
