I still like the ball-bustingly hard electronic version of a pen-and-paper D&D game: FF I. Fighting Imps right outside Corneria was potentially deadly and it was an accomplishment to hit level 20.

Haha I remember that shit. Grinding for hours right off the bat. No training wheels whatsoever. My friends didn't understand what I found so amusing about walking around in circles for hours fighting the same shit over and over. Speaking of hard games, I guess old game nostalgia made me love the ruthlessly hard beginnings of The Witcher 2. And having lenghty experience from The Witcher 1 didn't help much at all in 2. Intro chapters are supposed to be easy, even if you fuck things up right? NOT IN THE WITCHER 2! I swear I died like 20 times in the intro chapter of that game. It got a lot easier halfway through though. Maybe the reason I found it hard in the beginning is because I made a magic oriented witcher...

Every so often, I dust off FFI and play it. These days I use a rom since I don't have a TV with connectors for my NES anymore. Fighting monsters that can Poison still makes me raeg.

Your NES still works? Man mine stopped working like a decade ago. I just remembered FF: Mystic Quest for the SNES. That was a very fun, short, and easy FF. Quite different from the rest but still enjoyable.

Even my Famicom still works. They don't make things like they used to. You just look at an iPod funny and it bricks. My Famicom has been barfed on, cords been chewed up, and shipped half a world away and still works like a charm supposing I could find a TV with the right video connectors.

My iPod has seen so much of the world and it has even seen combat. It survived many trips to the sweat room in the gym and it survived Iraqi desert storms. It's been with me since 06 and it still works perfect.
You know you can go to a store and find numerous converters, even for old you-thought-they-would-never-make-this-again connectors. I was browsing some converters at Frys (a local electronics store) and laughing at the shit they had for Beta. BETA! Not even goddamn fucking VHS, straight Beta man!

QUOTE(derpymal @ Dec 4 2011, 14:14) If you've got cool gear and lots of monies, you can always find a new girlfriend.
(IMG: https://forums.e-hentai.org/style_images/ambience/folder_post_icons/icon14.gif) She's not the hottest chick in Skyloft anyway. I just got through the second dungeon last night, only to hear this agent of the Goddess or whatever bitch at me for being late, saying I failed and I'm not fit to protect Zelda and shit. Well, maybe if somebody wouldn't have encouraged Zelda to run off on her own without waiting for backup, she wouldn't have gotten in trouble in the first place. If I'm charged with protecting her, tell her fucking yandere ass to sit down and wait until I catch up with her before she tries running through a forest and into the depths of a huge active volcano full of guys who want to kidnap her. "Now you see that evil will always triumph, because good is dumb."

So my roommate has been gaining weight. He actually has fat around his stomach now. I call him a disgusting creature. I don't refer to him by name anymore. Then one day I kept hearing strange sounds coming from his computer. I go over to see what he's doing and he has headphones on, playing some computer game. I don't know what this game is but I quickly deduce it's an MMORPG. I confront him about it, and he says its League of Legends... My roommate started playing an MMORPG, now he's definitely not going to lose weight (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I give everyone shit about playing it or any of its ilk. One time, someone told me not to knock it til I tried it. I played one game and raped their ass. Like a bawwss. True story.

Haha sweet. I disliked DotA for a while then I played it and got hooked for like a week. Then it got really old really fast and I never touched it again. My roommate seriously spends all day on League of Legends right now, it's annoying. I'm not going to play Diablo 3 with him anymore if he doesn't drop this game.

Is 1.36 a decent k/d ratio for a FPS?

Something I just realized that pisses me off.
Why aren't the Wii/DSi/3DS virtual consoles interconnected? Nintendo is pretty fucking stupid, no wonder they lost money this quarter.

QUOTE(BrainSucks @ Dec 5 2011, 10:15) [ www.joystiq.com] Final Fantasy X HD? For Vita & Ps3? Stop being such a lazy cunt Square-Penix & bring us remakes of VI, VII & VIII. Those are the only masterpieces >:[ Or stop shitting out remakes and actually get creative for once. The JRPG is/has been burning right before our eyes and Square stands there with the lighter.

Depends on the game. If it's massive online then I suppose no.... But I don't play FPS that much since ... I don't know.... I had modern warfare, but ditched it... and We once ad CS 1.6 on a borrowed PC.... but that feels like decades ago....
