Ah well. Bought around 15 games (+ some DLCs) on the Steam Winter Sale, played one of the new games which disappoints a bit. But no desire to try the other ones. Ah well.

I want to get hyped about Starfield coming out this year, but the 1000+ planets of potential No Man's Sky content fluff feels like a chore than a treat. I'd like more fleshed out inhabited worlds, rather than a metric fuckload of ones needing me to grind for materials to terraform and build a less boring planet to visit.

Was supposed to finish Halo 4 & start playing the Crysis Remastered Trilogy but then God decided to be a mega jerk and turned 2022 into a living hell for me.

Games should have more depictions of something bad happening to wealthy douchebags and corrupt politicians. E.g. I am tired to seeing Flood-transformed Marines. There is no one more deserving of being torturously turned into Flood zombies than self-centered and self-serving politicians and wealthy people who saw any anyone below them as dispensable.

I just read about the game Starfield and thought this is going to be the next Elder Scrolls game. But no, it's just also a big open world game. And there will be a Elder Scrolls 6, though this will still take two years or so.
Oh dear, I can only hope that they don't mess up and that the players can enjoy these games.

But I believe that all developers and publisher learned that they should take their time, so that they release an (almost) bug free game. Not like Cyberpunk 2077 ...

Bethesda, despite their flaws, handle open world games better than most developers. Atleast from a single player experience. I'm sure TES 6 will be fine, even with the inevitable bugs. But nothing we haven't seen or dealt with before with little to no deterrence from playing on most people's parts. As for Garfield Seinfeld Starfield, my biggest concern is the abundance of planets padding the game out. No Man's Sky promoted the whole plethora of procedurally generated planets as the hype if the game and it just proved to be unsatisfying going to copypasted planets with nothing memorable or interesting, over and over again. Going through space sounds fun, but unless they throw some sights to see or some structure in the mechanics beyond listlessly going to one planet to another in quiet void of space, this game will be just another overambitious new IP that may fall flat. The combat seems to actually look more fluid in that it seems like an FPS rather than another Oblvion with guns. I've never been a big graphics snob, but what I've seen looks nice. I'd get it, but after it had been released and reviewed by average players.

Forget the damn Russians and North Korea! There needs to be a game out there in which Malaysia is portrayed as a villainous country!

Oh yeah, when I think of global powers that would throw the world in disarray, I think of dirt poor Asian Muslims in a country with limited military resources to pose a threat to even their whiny ass, equally dirt poor neighbors.
