Crytek just teased Crysis 4. Unfortunately, due the studio's misdirection (Crysis Remastered is a big fucking mess, declaring F2P as the "future" of games), I'm rather cautious.

After X4 now trying out Starsector. It's the first game since years which I had to buy on the devs side since it is not sold on Steam, Origin, etc.
Still in Alpha. Small dev team I believe. And only available on English. It's a bit hard sometimes (skeleton crew which I learned is not a fantasy living skeleton army, "volatile" and other new words) but it works.
At least there is space and many different ships and weapons.

Currently watching a longplay of Tomb Raider on PC, 2013 version.
If they are covered Lara in blood all the time, I have 2 words for the devs: SHOWER SCENES.
We need to see properly why the blood eventually disappear.
Of course it's for the plot. Before seeing a video playthrough of it, I had seen one of "The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience", and that one was better as a "game", AND was being honest enough to be free and call itself a technical demo.
Of course it came later, so it screw a bit the comparison, but the spirit of it always existed.

dokapon kingdom is the best type of anarchy a game can offer for multiplayer, sure the computer is a cheater and all number rolls weighted and funny enough predetermined like the original gangsta mario party.

it actually is the game i enjoy approaching with the understanding i can screw anyone over to the point a rule set was made among "friends": 1. no vacuum field magic 2. after battle robbing items is only ok when its for the castle items in story mode and even then it has to be pornfannumberwhatevs thou shalt steal items from 3. blistered feet is something someone can ask for to be hit with as it is a bitch spinning spinners to get places 4. pornfanumberwhatevs is not allowed to use a darkling spell using more than 120 points or darkling's delete skill 5. as ninja choosing "no" when robbing a store is op so you only are allowed "yes" 6. no more throwing controllers when you are defeated in pvp.

see, my "friends" keep nerfing me and i now i use alchemy and magic medicine atm, they literally have no idea how i will win still.

This is funny. The cat-god Ehekatl has a weapon called Frisia's Tail, and there's a monster/NPC named [elona.fandom.com] Frisia the Cat Queen.

Maybe, but she is definitely named after Freesia from Zangband, since there are Yeeks in this game. "A striped housecat who enjoys hunting", who was one of the low-level unique monsters. Freesia was actually based on & named after a real cat the then-Zangband developer Topi Ylinen knew.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 composer Sarah Schachner has revealed she'll no longer be writing music for the game or have any involvement in its soundtrack release, blaming an "increasingly challenging" working dynamic with the project's audio director.

Schachner - whose extensive CV includes composing credits on the likes of Anthem, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - was widely praised for her work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's soundtrack in 2019.

Schachner returned for this year's Modern Warfare 2, but has now confirmed she won't be providing any further music for the title - or indeed Call of Duty: Warzone - as a result of seemingly insurmountable work concerns.
"I am sad to say I can no longer continue to compose music for Modern Warfare 2/Warzone," Schachner wrote in a statement. "Over the past couple of months the working dynamic with the audio director has become increasingly challenging and I don't see any path forward."

Schachner also addressed fan queries regarding Modern Warfare 2's soundtrack release in her statement, saying, "As of now, I am unsure of the status and release plan for the soundtrack as it's been taken out of my hands".

"While I don't have any control over how the music is presented in-game," she continued, "what will be released on the soundtrack is not my artistic intent in regards to mixing and mastering. Mike Dean was a part of the creative vision for the album as well as mixer Frank Wolf. We have soundtrack masters in hand from Mike which unfortunately you will never get to hear."

"I would like to acknowledge the incredible hard work of the audio team as a whole, and I hope you still enjoy it because I put so much work and effort into it. The score features some wonderful performances by musicians Baseck, Brain Mantia, and M.B. Gordy."

"I'm truly appreciated of the outreach so far," Schachner concluded, "and I feel a responsibility to the fans to remain authentic in my approach with the game and its sound which I have been part of creating for many years."

On a side note, when I was looking around on Internet regarding a game (that I actually never found, but it's not relevant somehow (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) ), it seemed to only be available through Steam and...piracy probably (like it was straight on the 2nd or 3rd link in a search, no shop, no game info before that).
I will never be sure since in the meantime, I gave up getting the game realizing I was already torn between tons of things I want to do EXACTLY at the same time, and end up doing pretty much nothing instead because of the weigh of regrets whenever I do start something (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

Steam is why I don't play many PC games anymore.

I don't want to re-purchase Star Wars Battlefront (1, the pandemic game from the early 2000's) just to get multiplayer working again.

Anyone know if there's a way I can edit my /etc/hosts file to redirect gamespy to whatever servers they're using on the steam version?

Ah well. It is Steam Winter Sale and I also bought some games ... but damn, there are so many games on my wishlist (or games which I am following) which are Early Access. And even if a game is not Early Access, then it could also be that the "final release" just happened right before Christmas while it's still not that good. Probably just done to get rid of the Early Access title so people are more willing to buy it.

i watched an entire movie in a video game, a real movie called tammy and the t-rex

alright alright alright, so anyone who was growing up with the ps1 or at the very least heard of jesus vs santa in an EA game thing in some way knows what it feels like to find this kind of stuff and i bet squanch games knew what they were going for when they too decided that bunch of in-game commercials and this movie would play and i hadn't realized how long i watched it until it finished.

my favorite voices in HoL are Kevin McDonald, Tom Kenny and James Urbaniak, meanwhile they aren't credited with their characters they voiced directly, only as "additional voices".

it works out tho, i beat the game twice so far and watched a playthrough to see how others liked it. even i had to leave comments pointing out "yup, i know that voice and that voice." "ooo, it was obvious those two were the same character when they both had the same voice actor, cool twist"
