All the DLCs for Steam version of Titanfall 2 are paid. What the? I do recall Respawn Entertainment saying all DLCs were free before the game's 2016 launch. This is a dick move by EA in order to milk Steam users. Then again, I'd probably don't need the extra contents anyway to fully enjoy the base game.

Halo MCC is 20% off again, sweet.
What's the deal with GOG anyway, does it work out to be cheaper than Steam sales?

Took about 10 years but I finally understand how Steam trading cards work.

Is Crucible the first game in history to revert back to Beta after launch?

Most games don't leave beta anymore.

Whoever thought up the idea of invisible Shade turrets in the Lumoria campaign should have a broomstick stuck 8-inches up in the ass. These things are a stupid idea. They do not add challenge. They are just plain annoying. How the fuck am I supposed to take them out!? Not only because the gunner is invisible as well but they also either have good cover high up on a hill or teamed with invisible Elites and Brutes. STUPID AND ANNOYING.

You get half of them for each game as drops (takes a couple hours of running the game), with the possibility of getting duplicates. You can buy the rest on the real money marketplace to turn in a set for 100 XP, or sell yours. You can also get free booster packs extremely rarely for the games whose drop cards you've completed. There's also a 'gem' collectible, which you can burn cards to get. I don't get that one yet. There's so much bullshit, I don't know who had fun designing or who benefits from it all.

The leaked screenshots for Crysis Remastered were unimpressive I agree. Even modders had done a much better job of showing off the game's graphical potential. What Crytek is doing seems just a lazy cash grab exercise.

I wish there was a vanilla Halo sniper rifle lying somewhere just before the boss battle in the first level of Lumoria campaign. It wasn't the boss itself that's overly difficult (on Normal). It's the pair of what I call Elite "Marksmen" - Elite Ultras wielding Particle Carbine whose range, accuracy and damage is that of a sniper. The squad of Jackals charging towards your position as the battle begins can be taken out with a single grenade toss. But that has to be done early when they are still grouped tight together. When they finally arrive and start fanning out, you'll be in a bit of trouble because these aren't normal Jackals. They use highly damaging Shredders and homing Piercers and they will fire non-stop. At the same time, you'll be getting hit by the Elite "Marksmen" from afar, from both sides of the structure. This is where the vanilla Sniper Rifle would've been useful. Trying to take them out with the given Marksmen Rifle is impossible, due to recoil as well as the Elite's fast movement and rechargable shields. The only thing the weapon is good for is taking out the Grunts and Jackals accompanying those Elites. One way to defeat them is to charge towards the main structure and take cover underneath the platforms the Elites are standing on. Through the combined use of a SOCOM pistol, Particle Carbine and Focus Rifle, coupled with fire support from your sidekick Brandon (who wields a Marksmen Rifle), it is possible to kill both Elites from that range. Another way to take out those Elites is to engage them up close, but you'll have to contend with Brutes and more Jackals waiting upstairs. If you do make it to one of the Elites alive, you're still exposed to fire by the Elite on the opposite platform. Defeating the final boss is actually not as hard as I had thought. But only after killing more Brutes and Elites and destroy the Shade Turrets. Particle Carbines and Focus Rifle are great for this not only due to their range but also because there's charging station nearby at which you can charge any plasma weapons as many times as you want. Albeit slow - a bug perhaps? For close quarters, the Brute Spikers are surprisingly effective. With its high damage and super fast rate of fire, you'll be taking out the Brute Chieftain and his bodyguards in no time. Just remember to make good use of the provided cover while doing it and also keep on reviving Brandon whenever he "dies".

The Advanced Plasma Rifle in Lumoria is a bit of an interesting weapon. The fire rate is quite devastating that it can take down a Brute or Elite with little effort. However the weapon's downside is that it heats up quite easily. The fire rate will quickly decrease, the plasma bolts spreading further out as it accumulates more and more heat. Nonetheless, that can be circumvented by using the Action button to eject the excess heat, rather than wait for the plasma rifle to cool down by itself. This is unlike the regular Plasma Rifle which has a constant fire rate (albeit much slower) and only becomes ineffective when it overheats. You can't go gung-ho with the Advanced Plasma Rifle but with patience and constant use of the surroundings as cover, this weapon is a gem.

I wish the guy that made the rpg map of Starcraft 2 I played recently would have made more means to quickly return to base (checkpoints or something). This especially matter in a game like that that self-destruct past a certain time (though the sub-part I was in was short enough to allow to reach a save point before things go bad, but maybe there will be less luck another time, also every time the map is quitted, a defeat is recorded in my history )

To get to the security substation in The Commander Evolved (Halo SPV3), you must absolutely wield the Particle Carbine. There are two areas in the level where it calls for the proper use of the rifle.
The first one is down the beach where you'll encounter a squad of Covenant supported by a Wraith tank. You aren't given any explosive type weapons for this, so the only way to defeat the tank is to heatshot the driver in the exposed cockpit. You may try to plant a plasma grenade on it, but that's a guarantee death because lurking on a cliff around the bend where the tank is patrolling are two Jackal snipers. Not the marksmen type that wields Particle Carbine or Focus Rifles. These ones use UNSC Sniper Rifles. Two successive shots on Normal and you're dead. Also there are Shade Turrets too supporting the Jackal snipers.
The second area will take you by complete surprise if you play SPV3.2 for the first time. After exiting the cave, you will be welcomed by more Jackal snipers, Shade Turrets and Hunters. Worse there are also turrets and Jackal marksmen that had already taken position above the cave right behind you. Thus, you're coming under by fire from all directions. It's easy to think this section of the level as totally unfair. Keep on reviving your Sangheili allies so they could provide you with necessary distraction while you take out all the snipers, Shades and finally the Hunters with the Particle Carbine.

Even porting Crysis to the latest CryEngine for better CPU/GPU utilization, it'd still be poorly done remaster with all the downgraded graphics.

Getting sick of all the troll reviews on Steam. Not that I don't like all the porn going on there (it's really fun to see sexy stuff on there next to normie games), but it's impossible to learn anything there about a game you're not already familiar with.
