I don't think Disgaea could get a new fan base if it tried. The same thing for certain fighting games, just from a random on looker standpoint you couldn't convince anyone things are different. Fans of the genre and hardcore gamers yes, general public not so much.
I could show Blazblue CP side by side with Blazblue CT and the most I could argue is the graphics got better. Ragna still Ragna, Ragna 5C still a 5C, Noel still sucks.
Same with Disgaea, they've made the overall grinding easier with each installment to expedite the process but that's about it. Me saying you could do the grinding of Disgaea 1 in a fourth of the time in Disgaea D2 wouldn't really help that much. Also convincing people as a whole to like Disgaea is like asking people how much appreciation they have for numbers. Could hit ten billion damage but would I care to be an accountant long enough to bank stats for ten billion damage.

I'm guessing that getting jobs in the game development industry is pretty hard. Otherwise, those mistreated employees should've left Konami en masse by now.
Almost done watching Starcraft 2 HOTS. Even though it took me so much time to look into this game more seriously, the 3rd part isn't out yet. Guess it will be a painful hit at the end to know I can't get to the true end of the story.
While watching the beginning of a longplay video of Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, I realized I will probably never see a longplay of a H game, since finding a site that do both "games videos" and "adult content" is probably an improbable mix that, if it exist at all, would be very well hidden.
Note: those not familiar with the Dead or Alive Xtreme game serie may wonder how my thoughts turned in this direction, those who know what this specific branch of DOA is about don't need explanations
