To be honest I believe this could be a nice thing, only if Kojima gets hired by another company and allow him to make his own creations. MGS is indeed one of a kind but I think it's time to move on to brand new titles.

Addendum: I've never liked the reboot Castlevania.

If only he was able to make zone of the enders 3 and finish P.T. Kojima will get hired again hopefully sooner rather then later so we can see new ideas and titles from kojima.
It is a good thing but at the same time it isn't good news for silent hill under konami's direction. konami isn't giving up on making a silent hill game but konami has a bad track record with every silent hill after silent hill 3. Konami's earlier plans on handling silent hill games to western developers didn't work out that much for them.
Never did play castlevania lords of shadows and it's sequel.
But I see that soon they will eventually bury silent hill with it.
Konami needed to make that reboot and it's sequel better. Now it is unknown if they will even try making another castlevania game.

Some technical details:
Demo is running on using DX12 with a Quad-SLI Titan X set-up. Good for a total of 48GB GDDR5 (thanks to DX12 and SFR) and 28TFLOPS of computational power, that's roughly 15 times the PS4 or 20 times the XB1 in terms of power. Texture resolution of 8192 X 8192, each scene pushes +/-63 million polygons, every hair is a separate strand of hair.

Impressive, however I'll get truly excited when this demo becomes a reality for the future consoles or PC.

After watching that FExSMT trailer I was positive that was a Dancing all night add on or a rhythm game. However, hush my mouth I guess because that was the actual trailer. I mean after the P4G opening and the PQ opening I shouldn't be surprised or anything.

Then again I also got baited by the initial P5 reveal with the chairs and chains. Ah yeah, Nocturne in full effect. Fast forward got roller skating Tuxedo mask roaming the streets.

Perhaps monetized mods could work for porting in the future. If a mod sells well enough, it would incentivize the game's developer and publisher to have it ported over. The current generation of consoles being cheaper and easier to develope for also makes it more likely.

@That Narrator: FFS how hard is it to do voiceovers without sounding dreadfully monotone? How hard is it to find an ounce of talent when you're a multi billion dollar company? If I was voicing anything for Youtube I would put some kinda effort into my presentation.
