Good luck with finding them cheaper Online. You'd be better off searching pawn shops and second hand stores for those better deals. They're fairly common titles, so you should come across something. If you want just the games and don't care about a collection of cartridges, there's some cheap copies of the Megaman Anniversary Collection which has all of those games, plus two Japanese released only games for Xbox and PS2.

I'd love to see Square Enix make another SaGa game. Not only because they were decent games, but to see if the idiots at King would be stupid enough to try to sue them over a franchise they've had since the SNES.

I'm planning on doing a Game Grumps-type Let's Play series with the wife and, honestly, if you use emulators for LPs you're kind of an irredeemable shitbag.

You're right, sorry i didn't knew what you wanted them for. btw I only use emulators for games that are unavailable in my country. I asked because there's a game compilation on gamecube with the ones you're looking for. Normally i would download it to play via a hacked Wii. Edit: wikipedia says there's one for xbox too. Gamecube's control scheme was dicked up and not changeable to an undicked configuration.

Oh, so you're alternating biweekly or... Oh, wait, menstruation joke. I see what you've done there. Classy gent. Anyways, if you own the games, legally physically or digitally, I don't see the problem using an emulator to do a Let's Play. it seems significantly easier than trying to capture video off an old console like the SNES. Personally, I think there's more than enough LP's of the Megaman games, and not sure what you could comment on that hasn't already been said before. Still, if you do make something I might check it out, if you share it here. You seem amusing enough from the posts I've read and the doujin/manga rewrites I've read in your project thread. It's more about just having the options right now. I've got a decent game collection at the moment with plenty of fodder, but there's always room for more. We're only a couple of pieces of equipment off from having what we need to start up, a USB mixer and a RCA to USB converter, so we might try to work on our improv skills and off the cuff commentary soon. Real recording in the spring, possibly. And the thing about emulators is that I'm not completely biased against them and understand their uses, but they've never felt right to me. It's not even me being a traditionalist. At least I don't think it is. Maybe it's just an overwhelming preference for using the real thing.

I don't ever emulate things unless I have something in mind that needs changing about the game in question. I still use my PS2 for everything mostly except for things I mod for challenge like FFT 1.3. Otherwise I find emulating useless to me when the console releases work fine as long as my systems don't implode or otherwise commit late life cycle suicide. Most games at this point I like enough to want a physical copy of I don't need to mod to make me happy with it. Ie. being one of those costume and skin whores that can't play anything without 3 gigs of star wars skins.

Emulation has some key advantages over the original in certain circumstances. These are primarily save states and frame skipping. For older RPGs with heavy grinding and distant save points they are a godsend. I know the Genesis Collection on 360 implemented save states, which helped a lot in playing the Phantasy Star series. With more games featuring auto-saves, save anywhere, and turning off animations it has become less of an issue. For something that is very rare or prohibitively expensive I think emulating is still better than not experiencing it at all.

I think the only point when I've used an emulator as a benefit is if I wanna practice p3/p4 boss strats before doing a run. At that point shooting the framerate through the roof to speed the days up helps.
I imagine anyone that emulates pokemon skips the animations because seen pixel flamethrower once seen it enough.
