You know, I have to agree with Jim Sterling that the Elf is probably the best designed female in the game. The Sorceress and Amazon just look freaky to me, and that's coming from someone that adores large breasts. Maybe the proportions are too fucked up to me.
The Odin Sphere designs were cute as hell, almost all of the characters in Dragon's Crown look muddled and off. What the heck happened?
I made my attempts at Kingdom Hearts, Guild Wars 2... Still can't get over Dark Souls. I feel like the girl who got molested as a child and became a porn actress in adulthood
This may be one "Halo" game I'd buy if it were not a F2P title. Oh what's that, Microsoft? Why I won't buy your console so I could play Halo 3 and its successive sequels, you ask? Because FUCK YOU, Microsoft! That's why!
Do game designers even know what the fuck they're doing anymore? Seriously.
Nope, I don't think so. Kickstarter wouldn't have been so big success for Game developers if they did. It's a sign that games are going to wrong way. Promises of doing it the right way makes people give money. That's why most of the games are so bad nowadays.

Actually, it's almost entirely the consumers' fault. It is unfortunate to say, but great games that have tried to take risks rarely sold well. As a result, most publishers will outright refuse to fund these projects or will force the developer to make it more like whatever is selling well at the moment.

I know, that's why COD/BF/Halo/Whatever sells so well and that's also why I hate the human race. And I'm sure they could make better games than what most do currently so that's what my statement above is about, most games are just shit. There's of course exceptions to everything and even money hungry publishers sometime fund good games, but the sad fact is that you can count these games with 2 hands per year.

Don't forget publishers and shareholders, originality = risk. Churning out the same crap year after to year is great if it keeps selling. Anything risque original or new just might not get approved at all anymore.

I absolutely agree. But it is the consumer's fault that publishers are afraid to take risks. Think of games like Psyconauts, Beyond Good and Evil and Viewtiful Joe. Great games that were highly praised by critics, but they did not sell.
Just found that anyone's eShop account can accept credit cards worldwide without the billing address crap, well done nintendo, for once I can buy a digital game without issues for searching a console funding card.
And another great new I just found is that Bayonetta 2 is [www.maxconsole.com] timed exclusive, which I think it's cool from them to announce it before let us buying the Wii U version, like Tecmo did with NG3.

Nope, consumer is just a customer who pays for its entertainment. If there's someone who takes the blame, that would be the developers for being stupid enough to follow the crowd's preferences & publishers for their greedy policy of profit.
For example Microsoft: fuck the PS3 owners, keep Tales of Vesperia x360 exclusivity to ensure our sales ha ha...
