You know this will come to pass, no matter what. It's pretty solid tech to not buy a game then buy the special/elite/deadjoke edition at $40 or less with all bonus content unlocked. Got Mass Effect 3 the other day all DLC for $20. Hold that L.

So... Sony begun on their own independent gaming console, after Nintendo terminated their contract, to get back at Nintendo.
Microsoft begun to develop their own gaming console because they didn't get along with Sony.
I don't hope somebody else plan on releasing their own consoles due to personal feeling specifically directed at Microsoft. This is just too silly to keep up.

Alliances in a world involving money and power don't last forever. The game industry is no exception to the rule.

The article hujan posted is hilarious. Using the word "friends" in an article about business? Are you fucking kidding me? Is this My Little Sony: Friendship is Magic? This is just regular, fair-and-square competition. Companies merely wait until a contract ends to launch their own stuff and profit using whatever excuse as a cover. If this was public, this could just be a move to lower Sony's alliance trust value and expose Microsoft's desire to "ally with others" to potential game companies looking for business partners - which, in the best case scenario, they will happily take over afterwards.

Well, in a recent tweet from the director of B2 he said this:
We are a developer. Nintendo are the ones kind enough to fund and publish our [The Wonderful 101] and [Bayonetta 2] projects. So if Nintendo says “We are publishing Bayo 2 on PS3/360.” Then it will happen. So please go ask them, not us.

Also gotta love the respond from the translator when fans are still doubting about the meaning:
It’s supposed to mean what it says. If you want a PS3 version ask Nintendo. You might also want to ask for PS3 Zelda.

I mean Final Fantasy hopped off PS3 real quick when they realized that fans of their games didn't necessarily all flock to the PS3. The idea of ToX going 360 like Vesperia is more or less the same concept. If there is money in multi-console release without MS or Sony getting on your ass I'd do that in a heartbeat.

This is after finishing up a 60 match UMvC3 session with a friend. I wished netplay worked in a way where a magical portal opened up in both player's rooms, which connected them to a solidary room which only had a game console, the game of your choosing and a lagless TV. You'd also take the form of an avatar in order to keep that sense of anonymity.
tl;dr Fuck lag when playing online in any game.

Well I have to assume that the big difference between those games and Bayonetta 2 is that those games were only published by sony/microsoft, while B2 is published and also funded by nintendo for making the game. Even though I am all in for multi-platform, I highly doubt that we will ever see a game that is funded/owned by either sony, microsoft or nintendo getting released on a other console than their own.

So what happened to this thread's title? And a new Batman Arkham game is coming either this year or in 2014, yay!
