I'm reasonably sure that Laharl's character design was based off of Pleinair, so the fact that he vaguely resembles a female shouldn't be too surprising.

I was actually more surprised that they went for busty fem Laharl, seeing how his weakness is sexy bodied girls. But I guess it shouldn't have been that surprising since it was properly done for comedy purpose and also as fan service.

Also just discovered that there is also a Disgaea 5 in development. Alot of NIS games to look forward too. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
