Got that 100% completion in MagnaCarta 2. I'd hate the game less if it wasn't cliche as fuck and the one quest you can screw up on depends on the AI not getting itself murdered. That being said, the AI is a walking advertisement for stab idiot here for easy kill.

And just like that I'm a Kanji player now, I think I'm losing touch with what the phrase "Character Loyalty" means. That or I realize it and ditch my characters for whatever fancies me at the moment in true scumbag style.

New Phoenix Wright game announced. Unfortunately, knowing Capcom they probably won't bother releasing it in English.

It's cool how MVM has turned some power classes into support/power hybrids.

QUOTE(SRK Yun @ Sep 6 2012, 10:35) Character Loyalty I am only loyal to a character that has the following traits : low-tier, quick, able to both evade/dodge and spam basic attacks in order to make the average opponent using overly complicated moves that took over 100 hours to master ragequit and possibly destroy the surrounding furniture depending on stress level and mental issues.

I'm getting these games for the Ps3 and would like to ask your help/opinion on them, also some ideas on other game genres would be appreciated.
Fighting:
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Tekken 6 The King of Fighters XIII Dead or Alive Naruto: Ninja Storm Generations
Open world:
Red Dead Redemption Batman - Arkham City Prototype 2
Mmo
Dc Universe Online
Shooter
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Story:
Metal Gear Solid
I don't like sports or racing games, also a friend can lend me skyrim, SFIV, MvsC3, Uncharted, Saint Seiya and DBZ. So any suggestions other than these will be helpful.
Thank you for your time, best regards.

I'll comment some more later but here's a couple of comments on those games -
Arkham City's great, but I'd recommend playing Arkham Asylum first to get used to the combat system and give you some context for what's going on. It's pretty cheap nowadays too, so it's definitely worth a shot.
Haven't played Fall of Cybertron yet, but War for Cybertron is a lot of fun (but repetitive). I've heard similar things about FoC. The multiplayer is a lot of fun though, and having the vehicle modes really makes things interesting in a deathmatch.
Saint Seiya is a lot of fun, but it's different from what I expected. It's not really so much a Dynasty Warriors game as it is a 3D belt scroller beat-em-up. Be warned, you have to be really good at parrying in order to beat the bosses. My only complaint is that you can't go back and grind levels you've completed to help you get past tough stages - all you can do is move forward or start over again and just do better to earn as many upgrade points as you can. It's a cool game if you're a fan of the animu/manga though.
As for Metal Gear, have you played any of the games before? If not I'd recommend starting from the first game (it's on PSN, but you can find a disk copy super cheap these days). Past that, I HIGHLY recommend picking up the HD collection for PS3. It has 2, 3 and Peace Walker, which is a great value for the price. 2 isn't as bad as I remember it, but it's the weakest of the series. Peace Walker is a lot of fun, but it requires a lot of grinding and playing multiplayer if you're a Trophy Whore. 3 is the best game of the series, and one of the best games ever IMO.
BTW, if you've got 50 bucks to spend I do recommend the PSN Plus service. You get good discounts off of a lot of DLC and games, but best of all they give you at least one game a month free (well, until you cancel the subscription). Anyway it works out to be pretty worth it, since they've put up some really awesome shit like the latest version of Virtual Fighter 5, Back to the Future, Walking Dead, and other stuff. If anything, it feels like more of a bargain and less than a hostage situation like Xbox Live does.
Anyway, hope this helps to some degree.

Az, regarding dc universe; I'm not really into MMO games tbh, but this game is a lot of fun. Doing raids and duo's with other players is a blast, especially with someone with decent experience and gear. It's not too difficult reaching lvl. 30, so have fun going on your missions.
But be prepared to wait at least a day before you can play the game, because you'll have to download ALOT of updates. And some of them can be over a GB, so hopefully, your internet service provider doesn't have a cap limit on how much you can download a month.
If you ever have any questions about this game, pm me and I'll help you out.
Edit: As for open world/sandbox games, get Just Cause 2. It's cheap to get now and very under-rated for a game this good.

Agreed. That and Saints Row 2 are the kind of games that GTAIV should have been. Seriously, fuck GTA.

An open world game I enjoyed for a while would be Mercenaries 2. It's not the greatest game, but it's fun for those who like GTA style gameplay and you can find it for $10 or less.
A great RPG/Strategy/Shooter game that I absolutely adore is Valkyria Chronicles. The art style is gorgeous and the gameplay is refreshingly unique. You cn get this game for around $10-$20.

You played the PSP version? It's was pretty good, but got kinda bored of it after a while. Another great series that was underrated by mainstream western gamers. This post has been edited by dapanza: Sep 8 2012, 01:42
