I don't think the term eSports will ever fail to make me cringe and laugh simultaneously.

On other unrelated fronts to things that aren't eSports purchased the SC2 machine and it is happily planted in my garage. Just gotta move some stuff and I'll plant it next to the House of the Dead machine and we got a 2 machine arcade going. Got a good deal too, only cost me $350 for the machine so I'm happy. I have the sneaking suspicion I could have got it for less cuz' the theater that sold it is failing with style. That and I'm not the best at hiding the fact I was enthused about the machine but whatever good enough deal for me.

Suckered a friend that wanted a ride into loading the SC2 cabinet with me. Now I just need to figure out what buttons and stick I'm replacing the cabinet's with.....Well that and next week I should see if I can get a small 8-16 man tourney going for SC2. Got some SC players in my neck of the woods so should work out for the better.

He's the only thing that would save PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Has anyone paid attention to this game? It's becoming a bigger and badder clusterfuck by the second. Long story short, it's a Sony ripoff of Smash Brothers, but since Sony has less than 10 characters they're putting in third party characters. Some of them make sense like Heihachi from Tekken (Tekken has a long history with Playstation) while others don't (Big Daddy from Bioshock?). Anyway it's kind of funny.

Not so unusual that they get a few third party characters. Smash Bros. Brwal had Solid Snake and up to that time he had only been on the Nintendo Gamecube.

The game looks alright so far, but I wouldn't spend $60 on it. I know they recently added Cole from Infamous(meh) and Jak and Daxter(fuck yeah!) to the list of characters.

I guess it was just that there's a good chunk of the roster already that's third-party compared to the 1 or 2 in Smash Brothers. It's too bad it doesn't look like they're gonna pay for the rights to Crash and Spyro, who actually had some history with Playstation as opposed to the new Dante (old Dante I could understand), or Big Daddy (who came from a game that was Xbox exclusive for a year, and was originally never supposed to be on Playstation).

One complaint at the moment is that people are going to get confused when there's three almost identical bald guys (Cole, the guy from Killzone, the guy from Resistance) in a match (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

Have you ever heard of a PC joystick decalibrating by itself every ~10 minutes? Mine does.

What brand is it, and how old is it? That's kind of messed up.

It's a Eurocase euga-460. I reinstalled the drivers three times, so I'm almost sure that is physically broken. It's 9 months old and doesn't have much use, 200 hours I guess. I think I'm gonna buy another, the lights on this one are really annoying.

Just bought a USB controller for my PC. I imagine it'll be a chore to get working, as anything on PC usually is.

Only if you're a complete fuck up or the manufacturer is. Peripherals these days are practically idiot-proof. All you have to do is plug it in. Maybe install a driver or management software if it has complex/non-standard functions. I remember back in the day when you had to go through hoops to install hardware and crap. Then again, maybe its not as idiot-proof as "put game in, turn console on".

If you're implying that console gamers are absolute fucktards, I will be forced to concur.
