Why the new Pokémon Black & White quit Hilda as the heroine? Goodbye to my expectations...

QUOTE(derpymal @ Jul 21 2012, 22:58) I haven't played Pokemon in a billion years and don't even know how it works anymore.
Also, I don't want my game watered down by Pokemon. It looks cute, but I'd probably end up going ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) at it.
So far it's not very Koei Sim-like. Not a bad game though, just kind of simple. That may change later on tho.

I really hope that's wrong.

QUOTE(SRK Yun @ Jul 23 2012, 06:15) Started playing Billy Kane and actually had fun with it. Thinking of him as the janitor or a southern racist just makes the experience better.
Can't stand Billy. Despite that, I smirked. I've really got to sit down for maybe two days this week and grind out the last bit of Wild Arms 3. Like playing 5 before it, now that I'm at the ass-end of the game, I've gotten unenthused by the last two sidequests in the game and I've been slacking. At this rate, I won't get to start Fragile or Rebirth before the summer ends. :\

I'm hoping that the collection doesn't have technical issues like the Silent Hill one did. The MGS collection was great though.

Civilizations: Revolutions isn't as challenging or in depth as I thought it was going to be. I can get all the conditions for winning in an hour's time of playing.

Wasn't that basically a watered down version for people with low attention spans?

Seems like it. It was on sale for $14.99 on Ecksbawks On Demand and I hadn't played Civilizations since the third installment, and have been jonesing for a fix. I'm kind of really disappointed by it.

It had to be said.
I prefer the days when you and a couple of your friends could sit on the couch and play a game. You could easily reach over and bitchslap them if they were pissing you off, and you didn't have to worry about them talking through poor quality headphones, spamming the mic or suddenly being dropped from your chat party.. Nowadays it's difficult to get friends together to do shit like that, and almost near impossible to find "good" games that allow you to play locally off one machine.

I just hate that devs think social gaming is the best and coolest thing.

I just hate that mainstream gamers enforce those beliefs.

I need to find a place to steal a PS3 from because there's a lot of shit on there that I apparently need to play or else my brain will explode.

It's not "Hey, I'll buy that this week" cheap, but for a 320 GB HD PS3 this is pretty affordable. I paid a hundred dollars more for my 250 a couple years ago at Wally World. I might just have to pass the games up, because I don't want to support Sony's bullshit moves they pulled with the PS3. And even used they're godawful expensive.
The prospect of buying one just seems to, I don't know, make my skin crawl...

I rarely use mine as it is, but I'm not nearly as seasoned with my vidja game interest as you are. I'd probably sell you mine dirt cheap if you wanted it.
