Why can't i make my ps3 output anything on it's hdmi port? The monitor can tell a cable is connected, but isn't getting a signal.

PS3 hdmi out problems seem to be common. It may be the cable, but I have no way of testing, it's my only hdmi cable, and those are the only 2 hdmi things I have. There's nos etting to make to ps3 use the hdmi out, and the monitor is set to use the dvi in. EDIT: Forgot to mention, the setting reset by holding the power button has no effect.

No settings on either end that would effect it. Gonna borrow an hdmi cable off somebody.

QUOTE(Handsome Phil @ Jul 1 2012, 05:29) VS Seth is such a pain in the ass when playing as Cody in SSF4AE. :S
I feel like it isn't a bad match up for Cody until you get knocked down. Cody knocked down is bad in general but against Seth that's just a rape train waiting to happen. (Then again Seth runs guess and get fucked trains on the whole cast for the most part) Seth you really want to zone out or at least make him respect your limbs and counter hit set ups. Cody has high stun output and high damage off counters so all you really want to do is make Seth respect that you have good normals. Once you get knocked down it's more of you just have to block or guess right or do something stupid at the smartest moment possible. AKA the Giovanni, do the stupidest thing at the smartest moment and that's why it works. If you can react properly U2 is the way to go in that match up as soon as you get ultra it makes Seth's Mid to long-range game useless. At that point Seth has to get close and Cody has tons of AA options for any jumps Seth might do and if you read an early dive kick you can just MK ruffian his ass. If he disrespects your normals you can just counter hit into U2. Up close still in Cody's favor IMO if you know what normals to use and you can confirm off single c.lks All in all I feel it's good for Cody up until you get knocked down. At that point you are living on a prayer but neutral and pressure game wise I'd give that to Cody any day of the week. This post has been edited by SRK Yun: Jul 2 2012, 02:06

If one is really bad at SFIV, should they upgrade to either SSFIV or AE?

If you like fighting games, super is a good buy. If you don't like them and aren't interested in getting better at them then buying Super or AE (Broken) or AE 2012 (Better) won't make a big difference to you.
All the balance changes and new buffs/nerfs matter if you know what you are doing or can notice those things. If you aren't then getting a new edition won't do you any good for the most part. You should only upgrade if you really enjoy SF4 or are good and can appreciate balance changes and everything that makes a character unique. If someone wasn't a good player in vanilla getting super or AE won't change it unless they put in work like they would have had to do in vanilla. Mid-High level players can notice the difference and steps in quality. Low level players you might as well not bother as the results will be the same albeit with more characters. That and the game runs smoother which that still falls under the "If you enjoy it" category.
If you really enjoy it yes. Good competitor yes. Everyone else, I wouldn't recommend it.

So then I should just throw SFIV in the garbage, then. That's what you're getting at. ADDENDUM: Also, I'm probably never playing Diablo III ever again since no one I know plays it and I can't bring myself to solo grind to level 60 since it's boring as crazy. Why did I ever think Diablo II was fun? It's all the same shit. This post has been edited by radixius: Jul 2 2012, 03:30

I just wouldn't buy a new edition. But sure, I'm down with the policy of chucking shit you don't like or don't imagine getting much value/enjoyment out of.
That or save it and see if you get better at or like it more. Your choice of course.

I kind of hate fighting games since I am pretty bad at all of them.

Rad should play Soul Calibur 4 with Raab sometime. He'll see someone play even worse than him.

I spam Cervantes teleporting attacks, so I'm pretty awful.
