QUOTE(SRK Yun @ Jun 24 2012, 11:48) *

Finally got around to beating the Afro Samurai game on the number one headband difficulty. Was like beating Ninja Gaiden 2 on Master Ninja. 1-3 hits and your ass is dead. I like how a theoretical master of a game is derived from the idea that you should not get hit while you beat a monster in plate mail with what for all intents and purposes due to life scaling is a pixy stix.

Then again those might be good credentials from a realistic stand point to say you're the shit.

Don't forget that ONE GRAB in NG2 on master difficulty was insta-death too...

There's no games I'm really looking forward to anymore. Unless of course something interesting comes up. But that's not likely considering how shite games are these days.

Anyone know what the story is with The Last Guardian?

Dios mio! The update to The Witcher II is 10 gigs. I love CD Projekt Red and their show of care towards the players of their products. They are even STILL releasing updates for the first Witcher and they hired the maker of a highly popular mod to work for them on the games in an official capacity. They also included numerous changes into their enhanced edition that players were asking for and gave everyone a DRM free online digital copy through gog.com. They make no money from all this extra work they keep putting into their games years later and they take with a grain of salt the fact that their game has been pirated for millions of copies. I wonder if it's because they're a Polish gaming company and thus are not out to make a quick buck like greedy American companies, or if they are just unique in that aspect in the whole gaming industry.

Nope. Sony's been pretty quiet about it, and it hasn't had any new news or trailers or anything since at least last year, probably nothing since it was first announced.

I wonder how long it will take bukkit to update this time. It seems like each update takes longer than the last.

Because you live in Podunk, Iowa.

I'm actually interested in those games, but not interested enough to get a Wii.

Replaying both The Witcher games. I love the dialogue and story. Even though I've heard many of these conversations numerous times before I still pay attention to them. I wish all the novels were translated to English, but as it stands only the first book, The Blood of Elves, is translated and I don't want to start a series and have to wait for years to finish it.

I've got a nasty feeling it's cancelled. Then again, I don't play PS3 anymore.

You mean, you want to restrict yourself to official translation, made by some random disinterested translator at a big company, and refuse to acknowledge [en.thewitcher.com] fan translations made by Witcher 2 community? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

You could at least try the short stories' translations, as in chronology they happened before The Blood of Elves.

I'll have to be the judge of that. Fan translations for an entire novel? That seems too easy to mess up. But I guess I can't judge it until I read it myself. That is, after I finish replaying the games.

I can't wait to get to the second game, but I have to replay through the first one on a different path so I can play another route on the second one. The first time around I remained neutral in politics helping neither The Order of the Flaming Rose nor the Scoi'atel, but this time I'm joining the rebels in both games and I'll see what I can do about gaining more rights and freedoms for the non-humans.

Want to kill in the tablet market, Microsoft? Put an Xbox 360 controller wireless receiver in your products and allow the consumer to play Xbox Live games anywhere they have access to the internet. Meld your shit together like you've been trying to for years. No more of your retarded prick rubbing about the idea. And you can even market another, smaller version of the controller for people that want to take their tablets friggin' everywhere and people will buy that shit. Bonus points if you make it compatible for the 360. I mean, Christ, I don't know how hard it could be, but it seems relatively simple a concept.

Nah, that's the one thing they've been open about; the game is still in development, but since wosshisname, Fumita Ueda(?) left, it sounds like Team Ico's been struggling. They've been stressing that it hasn't been cancelled, if nothing else.

That's a shame. I've always been impressed by the stuff they put out. SotC was utterly brilliant in my humble opinion. Still though, fingers crossed they get a stroke of good luck and maybe I'll get a chance to play it.
