All my posts in on the Diablo III forums are getting deleted. I don't think ActiBlizzard likes me pointing out their greedy money making schemes and illuminating thousands of users to their agenda. I had predicted all this shit way before the beta came out as soon as I heard of the real life money auction house.
I'll probably be getting a posting ban soon, since I seem to leave inflammatory comments on threads related to the real money auction house.
Well Blizzard's main and ultimate goal is to make bucketloads of cash, like any business. It's kinda obvious with WoW, where they started off fine but now is just prolonging it as long as they can just to milk it for cash.
Before, they weren't as established, but after they made Starcraft/Diablo 2, that was basically their explosion to be a big name in the gaming community. After they made those titles and it became a major staple in every gamer's list, the cash became the major objective, and making quality games was secondary. It's a pity it's that way because from a consumer's stand point, the cash will keep coming in as long as they make quality games. First few times, the gaming community might forgive you, but after a while people will start to give up on Blizzard games(but not enough of the ratio to matter atm). And that's why they'll continue to get away with it; not enough people are giving up on Blizzard as opposed to their "loyal" customers who will continue to buy their games and all their expansions(me included, because I play with friends and it's still a great game to play with friends for years to come).
Now they're established, people/gamers will buy and play their games no matter what, so they're free to do as they want and make the game so it can keep milking money through expansions and etc.
