QUOTE(kingwolf @ May 27 2012, 22:28) Idiots, my idea is much better. In game advertising. Example: Coca-Cola funds certain amount of development costs to have Coke bottles in the game or have the main character drink a lot of Coke or some shit like that.
They do stuff like that in movies all the time. A good example is Back to the Future. Pepsi put a lot of money into it and you see Michael J. Fox drinking Pepsi.
Games can be made with bigger budgets, sold at lower prices and everybody is happy. It also wouldn't make gamers mad about having their game forcefully paused to look at an ad.
They did that already, during the PS2 era; it was called [ en.wikipedia.org] Run Like Hell, and it shamelessly advertised the energy drink [ en.wikipedia.org] Bawls.

Or better yet, Yakuza is full of advertising and it never interferes with the game: Pepsi Max, Gatorade, Jack Daniels. Every alcoholic drink exists, and most of the shops too.

But Yakuza is fun and lends to it fairly easily. Advertising in Saints Row or GTA would never bother me really, it's there but more fun than anything. Prince of Persia and their Assassin's Creed was fine by me to really. It was more fun than anything and a shout out to other games that are enjoyable. Anyone that asked me to switch my phone service or buy Burger King during AC:Revelations would be sorely disappointed.

QUOTE(Robbie Pie @ May 29 2012, 09:22) [ www.wikihow.com] This might help. That was basically how I did it in SC4. In the previous games, I just used blocks and placed buffer zones between my industrial blocks to manage pollution.

Me, too. But 2013 is still a long ways away. And then it ends up being disappoint, like Spore.

If Diablo 3 was a turn based RPG, this is how a rare mob fight on Inferno would look like: HIT RUN RUN RUN HIT RUN RUN HIT RUN HEAL RUN RUN HIT RUN RUN HIT RUN HIT RUN HEAL RUN RUN RUN HIT RUN RUN HIT RUN HEAL RUN HIT **SERVER IS GOING DOWN IN 6 MINUTES**

OK, I thought I was exaggerating, but there really are more scrubs in XBL fighting games than in PSN. I really want to get a stick now. Start getting all those easy points on all my fighting games.
Haven't met a challenge since I played Wolfkrone.

All of Anise's title costumes look abysmal :<
ALPINE EDIT: And I can't find any decent skit frame images to use for anything, either :<

Jack Krauser has to be one of the best bosses ever. It has a firefight, explosives, exploding robots, knife-fights, exchanging taunts...pity his second form is so easy to beat (Kneecap, headshot, kneecap, headshot etc.)

I liked the words of wisdom from Combofiend on why people give games away when they could win. "Siding with the captor, he's gonna win anyway. There's nothing I can do, I might as well give up." (Echo in the Back, Stockholm'd um')

It's a shame? I don't think so, I think I prefer it that way. The fewer games out there that advertise Breaking Benjamin, the better. QUOTE(radixius @ May 30 2012, 13:02) All of Anise's title costumes look abysmal :<

I liked most of her outfits, myself. Abyss had some generally good costumes altogether. Don't tell me you don't like the Abyss Rangers? I don't even know you anymore, rad... As for skit frames, [ i201.photobucket.com] did you look? I'm not sure if most skit pictures could be found at very high resolutions/sizes, though. Maybe if you looked on a Japanese wiki, you might find some. On-topic, what kind of dickface designs an enemy in an RPG who steals your items and escapes in the same turn? I need those Heal Berries/Full Carrots (though everything else is pretty worthless, take it)!

Woot. Found a legendary helmet, my first legendary. It upped my DPS by over 5k so I'm now at 36k DPS. and mobs on act 1 inferno still rape me...

Still on first playthrough. Haven't found anything that screams "adorable fucking cunt" yet, since that would be the ideal title for her. Maybe the devil outfit? Since she's my favorite character due to her pinkness and massive cuntery I want her to look her best :< QUOTE(TotalWhittle @ May 30 2012, 19:34) As for skit frames, [ i201.photobucket.com] did you look? Moonspeak is terrifying, I have to see how big those individual pictures are, from what I saw at home they looked miniscule, far too small to make into a decent avatar at 116px, anyway. Might have to tap into my true Google Fu potential. My goodness I adore Wild ARMs up through the third entry. ADDENDUM: Anyone have a PS3 they don't need anymore? I don't want to give Sony any money for their monstrosity, but I really want to play ToG:ƒ and ToX (if it gets released stateside). This post has been edited by radixius: May 31 2012, 03:30

Burned out on DIII. I've hit a motherfucking wall and I don't want to spend another 100 hours grinding the exact same shit in hopes of finding a slight upgrade. Maybe I'll do something productive like read a book or something.

I can barely play with enough friends as it is, wasting slots on public fuckers is out of the question. I really hate that they limited it to 4 people per game, since we got about 8 of us close friends running D3, and its the same 8 that ran D2 together back in the day.
