I will put this in as an achievement for any game I make. It'll be tied to a $10 DLC that does absolutely nothing except unlock the achievement. And mark my words, somebody will buy it without the intention of being ironic or supporting the game.

I like it when a game ages well and I can still love it years after fact. Shout outs to Tetris, Virtua Fighter 2, House of the Dead, Crash Bandicoot, etc. Too many to list. Aging well is never a bad thing IMO until remakes anyway. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Amen. Really good games are always fun to play. Even today I still think about playing old favorites like God Hand or Killer7 again, and not just for nostalgia's sake. The trouble with remakes is usually that they try to change too much and ultimately ruin the formula that made the original work. They throw in whatever stuff is currently popular thinking it'll make the game better, and it fails spectacularly. Just because people loved Frogger and loved 3-D platformers, that doesn't mean Frogger with 3-D platforming was a good idea. This post has been edited by FourThirteen: May 9 2012, 10:22

You remind me of that iPhone app that costs $100 and does nothing except show others you paid $100 for the app.

QUOTE(Robbie Pie @ May 9 2012, 15:12) Man, aside from some potions and rare materials, who the hell buys stuff in RPGs anymore? Most of what you need these days can be found or dropped in battle. Idiots who don't read wikis/FAQs. Or idiots in general. By the end of a game, there's so much leftover stuff it isn't even funny. This post has been edited by Mika Kurogane: May 9 2012, 15:35

All I buy in FO3 is Stimpaks. But that's because Super Mutant Overlords are a bitch.

I always figure you can go one of two routes in RPG economy. Kill things for stuff or get gouged for stuff in markets you could earn yourself. 99% of the time I gather everything myself as I hate RPG & MMO pricing. Because everyone and their mother somehow considers their time worth way more than yours. Or they lie to themselves about how much effort they are putting into getting things.
Aion is a prime example of everyone being a price gouger. Agarest War you can earn everything by doing the RPG solution to most things. Kill it, and if that doesn't work, overkill it and hunt whatever it is to near extinction. Which I like in a way, slaying gods for god weapons is okay in my book.

Not really. Fawkes made taken those fuckers a cakewalk. I don't consider FO3 an RPG anyways, or even TES. They're more action adventure with RPG elements.

Fawkes was no fun. The experimental mirv was the ticket for them.

Fawkes was an absolute card. Talking about Zen and wanting to be a more peaceful individual trying to put their violent past behind them, then shouting and laughing maniacally as he blast the fuck out of some poor dumb bastard in the same vicinity as you. Him and me made the Capital Wasteland our bitch.

I used the stealth suit, the hat exploit, and the blackhawk magnum.
Everyone in the capitol wasteland was my bitch.
That and the victory rifle.

Crouching around the Wasteland while you're overpowered enough to blow the fuck out of everything in one shot seems rather boring and pointless.

I went with Power Armor and Energy Weapons in FO3, so I was pretty much an unstoppable killing machine. In NV, I use an LMG and just run into them while spraying death. Sneaking around is for pussies.

Nah it's way fun. Prolly moreso for me, as I like playing the sniper in any applicable game. Gawd counterstrike used to be awesome.

Blades of Time is just another "Prince of Persia", but with a female lead instead. And better graphics.
