I never played any Civ game. Similar ones, yes, civilization, no.
Anyway, I actually have found something that makes me regret having been so stupid a few days ago: For the exclusive content that you get when preordering the "anal rape" edition of Deus Ex Human Revolution, you have to type in a code and download it from PSN. Of course, that code is only due once... :/
Well, whatever, I know the extra mission, and I can do without the extra weapons, it's a bit annyoing because I paid extra for it, and because some of the weapons were a hell lot of fun, but at least it reminded me that I should finally sell that stupid figurine. Its solid enough that I've been playing it for forever, though I usually only played through one or two civs before I got bored and put it away until I got the urge to play again. I haven't liked the introduction of some of the mechanics, but improvements on existing ones were always nice. I think the first one is still my favorite, even though it was a little clunky, but it was simple and straightforward.
Civ 5 needs to die, be buried, then be brought back to life, and left alive so that it can suffer the torment one would imagine the dead would have, having been brought back to life by unnatural means.
I am not going to write a wall of text, all I can say is that you WILL enjoy the game the first time you play. The first 5 times. Maybe even the first 10 times. But after that, the games flaws are just too blindingly bad for you to ignore anymore.
Civ as a series is good, but Civ 5 is just so very bad. Worst of all, you WANT it to be good because it is actually easy to pick up and play, and the concept is solid. This is as short as I can talk about it, [www.garath.net] otherwise you will end up with this!
I'd like Civ 5 more if it were more like Sim City and less like Age of Empires. Then again I just played a demo of it, so I could be talking out my ass.
I realized the sounds made by the aliens in Crysis 2 are actually English. I could've sworn a few of their phrases sound like "what's that?" and "huh?".
They've announced an MMO Elder Scrolls will be made...not sure I like that.
It sounds pretty cool, actually. If they put the proper time and effort and don't use the old "open beta" trick to use unsuspecting players as unpaid beta testers to point out glitches and bugs, something good might come out.
Just finished the one mission in Mechcommander 2 where I always feel sorry for the last enemy. The last enemy is a Uller, a 30 ton light mech. My force consisted of 11 mechs with the lightest being a trio of 45 ton medium class Shadowcats. I also had two 55 ton Men Shens (a recon mech but with LRMs and both piloted by aces specializing in LRMs and long range combat in general), a 55 ton Ryoken, and trio of 60 ton Vultures, and in the heavy class a 70 ton Thor and a 75 ton Mad Cat.
Any one of these mechs could have taken the Uller one on one, but all 11 together... poor little bugger.
Lol it would be fun to see you try to solve the puzzles. I've run through co op with two friends already, so I remember most of the puzzles, but if you want we can run through the game.
Wondered why I liked playing Makoto in BlazBlue and Shen in KOF13. I quickly came to the conclusion that punching shit is fun. Especially in terms of using Makoto's drive Impact at full charge. Hitting people just feels so satisfying at that point. Same deal with Jam in GG.
It feels good, it felt good.....IT FELT GOOD WHEN I PUNCHED THE **** OUT OF SOMETHING!
