I kind of think the story from Asura's Wrath could make for a decent mechanic in a strategy game.

Think of it: you have a legion of worshipers at your disposal, and you can serve and protect them to harvest their prayer power, or just kill them and harvest their souls for a bigger boost of power.

...Actually, now that I think of it, Black and White already did exactly that like 10 years ago. Still, it's an interesting mechanic.

T3 stalemate?

Spiral Knights. People who solo tend to get stuck once they get to Tier 3. Monsters that have projectile attacks tend to turn the game into bullet hell, which I've always abhorred. You're supposed to use damage type mitigation armor, which I am, but it isn't doing jack shit and I've died three times within the first few minutes of the first stage every time I attempt a mission. The same thing happened the last time I was playing -- got access to Tier 3, stopped because it was ridiculous. I've seen people solo this stuff before, but its a pain in the butt when latency decides to go "LOL nope, you didn't dodge that even though you did client-side because the server farted". I've died on several occasions because of connection issues.

#mal missed my reference, skipped my post or simply decided to ignore me.

I am disappoint.

I was going to make a comment about how fitting that is for disillusioned ex-soldiers, but then I decided not to.

Its based on the "spell" for Unlimited Blade works from Fate/Stay night.

Another reason for me to marry you. I don't like that shit either, mostly because I suck at it. I played Galaga once and failed hard. True story.

The only three Touhous I've ever played are the ones ZUN made when he got raped by the Twilight Frontier team. Because I kind of like fighter games that don't get too technical.
Also, because all of the characters are motherfucking sandwich bakers.

ADDENDUM : Lunatic Story Mode is for crazy people. I only play Lunatic when I've masturbated over three times, except for Arcade and VS modes because the AI is so stupid it's not even funny.

ADDENDUM 2 : The best way to coerce the Touhou fanbase into committing mass suicide is to add Rinnosuke as a playable character in one of the future games. True story.

I never actually learned that damn thing. It's just for motivation I guess. What was pounded into me from day one, however, was the mission of the rifle squad.

I decided to replay Crysis 2 campaign and begin a new game. What I found was my 20,000+ Nano Catalysts that I collected from my previous save has been carried over to the new game. All the modules unlocked in my previous save remain, well... unlocked, so there's no point in collecting alien tissues anymore.
