I wonder whether the 3ds or the Wii U will be Nintendo's Titanic? After all, shovelware was the major reason for the collapse of Atari (ET, anyone?.

Although crappy games were the demise of Atari, they were long dead when ET was released. And, believe me, ET is not the worst game ever made. It's bad, but not that much.

I think some time ago I may have posted that I had never played a Lufia game. But I have, and that makes me a liar. And it was probably the best portable game I've ever played.
If only I could find a copy of Lufia: The Legend Returns, that would be fabulous.

Woa, I never knew there was a part 3. Yeah, Lufia and Lufia II were pretty bomb. I forget which one was Rise of the Sintrals (sp?), but since part II was the prequel in terms of storyline, I'm betting on that one.

Lufia II had one of the best soundtracks ever! That's a franchise that could use a crack at modern day.

I just noticed he said it was the best portable game they've ever made. I guess they remade it after the SNES? I might have to find myself a copy if there is anything special added on from the original version. Lufia I and II were seriously good. And by 'find myself a copy' I mean download a ROM.

What is this in reference to? Also, post positive or GTFO. (GTFO meaing Go to Friendly's Okay? Most of the food is going to give you the runs, but the dessert menu is fantastic)

A few years ago I would have had no idea what the hell that was.

Yeah, sorry, bad joke. Anybody who know you knows that you are intimately familiar with the runs.

Friendly's is like Denny's, you go in there not expecting much and they still manage to disappoint you.

The Friendly's location near my house closed this past year, so there isn't even one around here anymore. A couple months later, they started running their newest ad campaign in this region. True story Factual anecdote.
We get that a lot, though. There's no Sonic within a hundred miles here, but we get their ads constantly. The other week I saw ads for some furniture place in Buffalo. Cable is fucked.

I've had to go online for two different MGS Peace Walker missions and beat them on co-ops because they were incredibly hard alone. I'm not using a FAQ/Walkthrough so I probably don't have the great weapons and gear unlocked yet, but seeing as I'm at the end of the game, I should probably start looking things up to help the huge spike in difficulty.
Hmm... They must've changed the ranks of the soldiers between the PSP and PS3 version. All website I go to tell me that Extra Op 49 has three S rank soldiers but I've tried it three times and they're only A rank. Looking at the dates those posts were made two years ago or more, so it was clearly talking about the PSP version since the PS3 version just came out like three months ago. Even my intel report says there are no S ranks in there. I haven't gotten a single S rank technician the entire game of 80 plus hours except for Huey Emmerich and Dr. Strangelove, who are from the story anyways, but I load up my PSP save and there are quite a few S ranked techs in there... Maybe the PS3 edition doesn't have S rank tech? If not, then this is gonna be frustrating, and I can totally understand why I'm having so much trouble now. Low tech levels means I can't develop good weapons, and at the custom missions level you definitely need some heavy firepower.

There is actually even a fourth one on the gba. Lufia: The Ruins of Lore. But personally I didn't like that one at all. Love the first three though. Especially Rise of the Sintrals on the snes. This post has been edited by gigano25: Feb 29 2012, 12:25
