OK, going back to discuss Evanescense. I do really like the song "Bring Me To Life," which a lot of you already know.

But I'm gonna go watch more Frampton videos. Gawd, the hairdos back in the 70's! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Well, that's the weird thing. All their songs sound exactly the same.

To some it may seem like all songs sound the same from a certain group, but it depends on your perspective of said music and how well you listen to it. To me all Evanescense songs sound different, and there are more good ones other than just Bring me to life. Sometimes ya jus gotta pull your head outta your arse and listen <.<

Lies and deceit. At one of my jobs I have to listen to the pop radio station. All the songs sound exactly the same.

Never thought I'd say this but I'll agree with you on that rad, pop sounds all the same to me as well, as does country, r&b, and rap as well *shudders*

The more you listen to it, all music starts to flow together... "all the good rock riffs have already been written" kind of situation... but on the other hand, you really start to appreciate little things like "wow, this album has SUCH good production on the snare!" or "You know the second drum fill on Deftones - Change? The one where he leaves out a hihat hit? SO cool...".

Muse-Apocalypse Please. That song's on "30 Days of Night"(best vampire movie in years finally). I'm also listening to "Shrinking Universe"(28 Weeks Later song) and John Murphy's "In the House - In A Heartbeat", from "28 Days Later". If the first two aren't good depression songs(I'm going through a tough time right now), I don't know what is.

I was inspired by a post a few notches up so:
Judas Priest - Painkiller

"Faster than a bullet
Terrifying scream
Enraged and full of anger
He's half man, half machine

Rides the metal monster
Breathing smoke and fire
Closing in with vengeance soaring high

HE! IS! The painkiller!
THIS! IS! The painkiller!

Planets devastated
Mankinds on its knees
A saviour comes from out the skies
In answer to their pleas

Through boiling clouds of thunder
Blasting bolts of steel
Evils going under deadly wheels

Faster than a laser bullet
Louder than an atom bomb
Chromium plated boiling metal
Brighter than a thousand suns

Flying high on rapture
Stronger free and brave
Nevermore encaptured
Theyve been brought back from the grave

With mankind ressurrected
Forever to survive
Returns from armageddon to the skies

He is the painkiller
This is the painkiller
Wings of steel painkiller
Deadly wheels painkiller"

FUCK they could write lyrics back then... "Faster than a laser bullet, louder than an atom bomb" - it's so tacky but it's SO GOOD.
