Um, you're supposed to PM your bid rather than post it in the forum (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Now everyone knows what you've bid and could outbid you by 1c. Oh well never mind. I'll announce the winners tomorrow (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Winning Bids of Auctions Ending 2011-06-18 This week a number of items received the same bid from multiple people. In these cases I accepted the bid from whomever bid first. Average Phase Gloves of Heimdall - Winner: Eutopia 340,000c Fair Phase Cap of Fenrir - Winner: sailuosi2 150,000c Average Phase Cap of Surtr - Winner: Shuleria 80,000c and 150 Crystal of Cunning Fine Phase Gloves of Surtr - Winner: Annoyed Crystal of Vigor 73 Crystal of Finesse 59 Crystal of Swiftness 117 Crystal of Fortitude 73 Crystal of Cunning 72 Crystal of Knowledge 76 Crystal of Flames 55 Crystal of Frost 60 Crystal of Lightning 85 Crystal of Tempest 83 Crystal of Devotion 75 Crystal of Corruption 86 Crystal of Quintessence 64 Fine Phase Cap of Niflheim - Winner: ta2boy 50,000c Fine Phase Gloves of Fenrir - Winner: ta2boy 50,000c Superior Phase Robe of the Owl - Winner: animeai 51,000c Average Phase Shoes of Mjolnir - Winner: zhen0n * 30,000c Average Phase Cap of Mjolnir - Winner: sushi0 30,000c Crude Phase Pants of Mjolnir - Winner: ta2boy 20,000c Average Phase Robe of Mjolnir - Winner: dcherry 10,000c Average Phase Robe of Heimdall - Winner:dcherry 10,000c Fine Scythe of The Vampire - Winner: animeai 51,000c Superior Mace of Slaughter - Winner: animeai 26,000c Crude Phase Cap of Mjolnir - Winner: sushi0 20,000c Superior Longsword of the Battlecaster - Winner: SneakyGray Vigor 13 Finesse 24 Swiftness 9 Fortitude 14 Cunning 13 Knowledge 19 Flames 14 Frost 10 Lightning 14 Tempest 42 Devotion 32 Corruption 39 Quintessence 34 + 5000 Credits Fine Ebony Staff of Surtr 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 - Winner: ROHAN55555 30,000c My blind auctions seem to have run into a problem. Initially things went well and I received a considerable number of bids, with the winning bids being quite high. The problem with these high winning bids is that they caused people to believe they couldn't win the auctions and many people stopped trying. As a result the number of bids I've received has been in decline. The items that receive the most bids are the "Stuff nobody wants" because people believe they could win. After receiving no bids last week the Fine Phase Gloves of Surtr got 11 bids this week. The problem is therefore not that people don't want the items, but that they're not bidding because they don't think they can win. With people not bidding some items began to receive no bids at all and this created the potential for somebody to place a low bid on every item and win at least a few of them, which is what dcherry did this week. I'm surprised nobody else has done this since there was a clear opportunity to win items at below their actual value. I'll therefore be changing to an alternative sale format start this week. This new system seems plausible. If somebody wants an item but chooses to wait for the price the decline chances are he would lose it cos someone else might get that item. So given that the item is desirable and lots of people want it, no one can afford to linger too long and the actual value of the item is retained. Let's see how it goes in practice (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Fine, I'll post then. As per request: QUOTE Also, can you post something like this in the thread: I'll take: Fine Phase Cap of Fenrir - Price 425,000c (Decrement 25,000c) Fine Phase Pants of Fenrir - Price 425,000c (Decrement 25,000c) Fine Phase Gloves of Fenrir - Price 297,500c (Decrement 17,500c) Average Phase Robe of Fenrir - Price 380,000c (Decrement 20,000c) Fine Phase Shoes of Fenrir - Price 380,000c (Decrement 20,000c) If people see someone paying ridiculous prices for equipment it might encourage them to do the same (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I admit, I didn't pay for that Fenrir set. I got it in exchange for letting Eila kill me 500 times over. P.S. This message has been endorsed and paid by Frith. Its contents is not subjected to the views or opinions of the original poster. That message has been maliciously edited. I used a smiley and not a thumbs up! Also, you'll regret that next time you desperately need credits because I won't buy your crystals and I won't sell you anything ever again either so there!

That is the dumbest, most pointless thing I have ever read on this site. Monster kills don't even do anything, and if/when they do, you can bet your ass there will be something in place to prevent farming like this.

What thumbs up? I don't know what you're talking about. Oh I don't know about that. Your withdrawal symptoms from not having your daily crystal fix might make you come crawling back and beg me to sell you crystals. When you read something that is so dumb and pointless, what would be your first reaction? It seems like in your case you actually took it to be real. I am disappoint hitokiri84.

QUOTE(sushi0 @ Jun 21 2011, 17:28) you actually took it to be real. There is no reason to assume it's not real since frith stated he has already been farming it up himself. There still isn't.

I did, I just ignored them (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The problem is if nobody posts in a thread then it will eventually end up on the second page. In the mean time people might create threads to sell a single item and once it's sold will close their threads. That would mean active threads would fall below inactive ones, which would probably lead to them being ignored. Allowing posting in threads keeps the active threads near the top and allows the inactive threads to fall off the bottom, so I'm not really sure of the reasoning behind that particular rule.

I suggest those finished auctions/purchases in WTS/WTB should be deleted first. Nowadays people simply won't report those threads. And I also suggest some standard formats for auctions. This post has been edited by varst: Jun 22 2011, 15:43
