Ah, then it must be level scaling working.

Damn, all late for the iwbth hourlies discussion. Whatever I'll put my 2 cents in. (could use the extra exp anyway).
haste, shadow veil, arcane focus, and spark in that order unless I get channeling. (than I just cast the most expensive one). After all that, the mobs still haven't hit yet so I use scroll of swiftness. Than they hit and I cast spark again and regen 2 for shits and giggles. (and prof I guess).
Than I just keep blasting them. Cast spark whenever it goes off, sometimes use a spirit pot when needed. Only lose those battles due to lack of attention. That or my g/f is playing and she doesn't follow the setup.

You should change it to Haste -> Arcane Focus -> Spark. Shadow veil won't make much of a difference, IMO. You still die as mobs hit for 1k each anyway. If you can get Spark in IA that'll be just perfect. That's basically my set up.

For me SV is still good (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) QUOTE 5 9 You evade the attack from Bunko. 5 8 You evade the attack from Mr Roboto. 5 7 You evade the attack from Lina Inverse. 5 6 You evade the attack from Dogar And Kazon. 5 5 Nightmare Moon misses the attack against you. 5 4 You evade the attack from Aeris Gainsborough. 5 3 You evade the attack from Elizabeth. 5 2 You gain the effect Shadow Veil. 5 1 You use Scroll of Shadows.

I'm sure it's already been pointed out, but why do magical damage mitigation bonuses give exactly 1.86% per tick instead of 2%? I'm referring to the abilities.

Mitigations from equipment, aura, and ability are each calculated separately.
Each percentage point removes what is "left" of unmitigated damage with the damage modifiers being multiplied with each other. For example, if you have 10% mitigation from aura, and 20% mitigation from abilities, the calculation goes as follows:
(1.00-0.10)(1.00-0.20) = 0.72 = 72% "unmitigated damage"
(1.00-0.72) = 0.28 = 28% mitigation
Each piece of armor also has to be multiplied with each other piece, so two 25% mitigation pieces will actually produce 43.75% mitigation:
(1.00 - 0.25) * (1.00 - 0.25) = 0.5625
(1.00 - 0.5625) = .4375 = 43.75%

Ah, thanks! I was just confused because it seemed almost but not quite additive. 1-(1.00-0.07)*(1.00-0.20) yields my exact holy mitigation for instance, or 25.6%.

It does make some what of a difference. Sometimes I don't need to use a spirit pot. I attribute this to being hit less often.

Sometimes is not nearly enough XD. If it's often, sure. But sometimes doesn't cut it for me.

Anyone noticed that there are very, VERY few equip drops from the hourlies, even when playing on a higher levels - Nintendo/BT/IWTBH? I'm getting mostly pots/crys, with a few scrolls.

Train up more. I've been training my drop-related training up, and noticing more equip drops from hourlies. Not much, nowhere near enough to cover my training costs, but they're dropping, finally.

You mean "Scavenger", mine stands at 13/50. For the others: LotD - 7/25 QM - 5/20 Arch - 5/20

I'm at 23/10/5/4 and have an equip for about every 3-4 RE, and that's pretty ok for me.

@LangTuTaiHoa: @Smilejb: Why do you guys just keep on going Scroll of Swiftness, Scroll of Swiftness this whole time? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I've almost never used it and I'm still living good, not using it is a lot more cost-effective for me. And I usually do Heroic/Nightmare difficulty too (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) And @ChosenUno: why don't you use Godly Health Pots, I've never used it in Arena, RoB so RE is an ideal place to put them into use. And why do your SoL proc that much... I can do RE at ease with 2-3 Godly Health pots and nothing else at all (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Edit: @cyberwaveIT: Are you really a melee, bro? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) I can do IWBTH with 10 mobs when my level was at 100. I used a normal Scythe and a Kevlar set. Just hit them, when the OC hit 130%, Spirit Stance Engaged and Shatter Strike the hell out of them. Then they just... die. Usually it take 2 Godly Health Pots. Because then I'll forget to put in mana godlies when I run arenas. And THAT is bad.
