Got Isis into the show Lie To Me about three months before it was cancelled. Now she's watching the series over and over and over and over again.

I raged when last week's House got fucked up because of that shitty Terra Nova's premiere. I hope it gets canceled soon, which shouldn't be a long shot since this is FOX we're talking about.

I'll be glad if they just don't screw up their scheduling. At least I got to see House.

Dateline's To Catch a Predator is awesome and I love it when they get busted. The disturbing thing is there's way too many predators out there. That makes me feel even more sorry for anyone who has kids.

I've seen 28 opening bands that I can remember. I believe that it's actually closer to 35, but I don't specifically recall any other names.
The Show Is The Rainbow Screaming Monkey Boner Suicide City Crystal Skulls Chin Up Chin Up Russian Circles Dälek Young Widow Pelican Mono (The Japanese one) Themes Annuals Grand Archives The Helio Sequence Chase the Sunrise Wintersleep Earl Grayhound Menlo Cashes Rivers The Dig Port O'Brien School of Seven Bells SHAPERS Milk & Eggs Dream Thieves Bats in the Belfry Marshmallow Ghosts Dosh The Velvet Teen
Most of these acts weren't very good.

I don't know any sensible person who couldn't agree on that.

There's a Misc gallery that made laugh just now...the tags become crazy and crazier, just because of the simple gallery title..."SHE".

My mind is completely blown (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Listening to this is like missing out on a dose of Prozium after lifelong treatment.... (Fr)Eddy: I listened to that song on an awfully high volume and now my ears hurt, but i don't give a fuck, it's just too beautiful This post has been edited by Benjiro: Oct 19 2011, 21:55

So, according to a doctor that testified at the trial of Michael Jackson's doctor, it's an everyday occurrence for people to stop breathing when they're under general anesthesia and it should be easy to start their breathing again. Shit, that's frightening.
But I once heard that when you're under general anesthesia, that's one step away from death like what they do with lethal injections. They just don't take you down to the next level.

That new show Once Upon a Time that airs on ABC on Sunday nights is surprisingly good. It's well written, has impressive CGI and is really creative, which is rare for any new show these days. At first I thought it was a made for TV movie but it's a series.
Of course, that was my first impression of it with the opening episode but I'm going to give it a try and add it to my list of regular stuff to watch.

QUOTE(Tenseigamoon @ Oct 25 2011, 22:21) QUOTE Thanks for the tutorial and, no, you're not the first to bring this to my attention—and you're not the first to completely misinterpret the lyric and miss the metaphor. Believe me, I've consumed enough alcoholic beverages in my time to know how they are made and what the proper nomenclature is. But that line in the song has little or nothing to do with alcoholic beverages. It's a sociopolitical statement. My only regret would be having to explain it in detail to you, which would defeat the purpose of using literary devices in songwriting and lower the discussion to some silly and irrelevant argument about chemical processes.
The guy sounds like a self-involved know-it-all douche, but in a weirdly endearing way. This post has been edited by FourThirteen: Oct 26 2011, 07:14

Being FROM California and traveling to L.A. often enough, I misinterpreted the supposed deepest meanings of the song. I mean, riding into L.A. I don't get a misty notion of the darkest recesses of American society, I merely think 'FUCK I hate L.A. traffic'. But I still got the general idea of the degradation of society and how easily corruptible we are, how we tend to regret the easier choices in life. And yeah, he sounds like a fucking douche, and I would like someone in the band to explain what he meant exactly by 'we haven't had that spirit here since 1969'. I think they just fucked up and need to man up.
