Notable differences between the original Rebel Moon Part 2 and the Director's Cut:
- Kora had sex with Gunnar in the DC. - In the DC, flashback on Kora's assassination of Princess Issa is extended with a scene Balisarius discussing with Kora his plot against the royal family. - There are a few brief scenes of Hawkshaws reconning the village in the DC. - Aris and Sam's relationship is fleshed out more in the DC. - Tarak slept with an older woman in the DC. - In the DC, when Jimmy told Kora "she cannot win", he was still clouded with uncertainty; In the DC, it was due to the revelation that the King's Gaze had become aware of the villagers' upcoming resistance. - The tunnel fight between Atticus Noble and the resistance was extended. - There was a short conversation in the DC between Kora and the Kali powering the King's Gaze. - In the original, Kora's sabotage of the engine room caused the cannons of the King's Gaze to miss the village; however in the DC, it was due to Kora's direct interference with the weapons crew. - In the original, Atticus Noble left the bridge to pursue Kora; in the DC however, him leaving was in response to Kora's turning the ship's cannons on the bridge. - In the original, Cassius went down with the King's Gaze; In the DC, he was shot to death by Atticus Noble when he tried to join his superior in the elevator. - In the DC, Millius is revealed to be a non-binary character. - In the DC, after Kora and the rest declared their intent to search for Princess Issa, a village girl suddenly appeared to sing a melancholy folk song. - While he film ended in the original with the funeral scene at the village, the DC version ended with Balisarius began addressing the Imperium forces.

Just realized everyone in Cranston Academy: Monster Zone (2020) have only four fingers, both humans and monsters. There's a weird animation in one scene where Danny waves hello and his fingers wiggle as if they were rubber. Are those fingers with flesh and bone? Or empty rubber gloves? Come on, animators. You can do better.

Oh, look. The Amazing World of Gumball has been revived in the form of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball. My interest already waned after the first few seasons of the original series, but good for those who are still fans.
Geez. Zootopia got a sequel. If only Chicken Little got the same treatment.
I finally found out K3 (2015) is fictionally based on a real life girl band, very much like Puffy AmiYumi series.
Didn't realize Milla Jovovich had starred in two of Luc Besson's films back-to-back: The Fifth Element (1997) and The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999). It's also cool to find out Besson also directed Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017).
Clover wearing modest clothes at the beach!? Shorts and a shirt instead of a swimsuit?? That is so not like Clover! I fear the revival of Totally Spies has been toned down in a misguided attempt to be kid-friendly. Another show ruined and better off not renewed.
Still rooting for Blu-ray releases for Titan AE (2000) and The Magic Sword: Quest for Camelot (1998).
The music in Transformers: Rise of the Breasts (2023) reuses elements from Steven Jablonsky's score he composed for Michael Bay's Transformers film. Makes no sense considering the two films have no connection.
Finally, Ruby Gillman is streaming on Netflix! I also watched it with the Japanese dub audio and found the characters Ruby, Chelsea, Connor and Brill shared the same VA that did the Japanese voices for Raven, Starfire, Cyborg and Robin respectively from Teen Titans Go. Awesome.
Xico's Journey (2021) has a fantastic art style, combining hand-drawn characters with 3D background that has a painting-like aesthetics. The story's originality is nothing to shout about though. If you've watched Ferngully and Ambo, you get the drill. Aside from the evil greedy businessmen, the story also introduced Xappan, a supernatural entity as a secondary antagonist. However, his motivations are unclear. It's never elaborated beyond the fact he has some beef against the gods but it doesn't impact the narrative whatsoever. He merely serves as obstacle for the protagonists and that's it. Then there's a plot twist when it's revealed the female protagonist's pet dog is the actual goal of the protagonists' quest. Sure, there were clues. The ability to speak and able to change colors (no reason was given for the latter's usefulness) did imply he's a supernatural being and furthermore he is the titular character. But it still felt rather unsatisfactory. There was no buildup to this plot twist. No flashback nor backstory to explain Xico's obliviousness to his own origin and how he ended up as someone's household pet. Overall, Xico's Journey is not a terrible film. The story isn't deep but would serve as an entertaining film for a family to watch together in the weekend.
It's been a long while since I last watched Back to the Outback (2021). So rewatched it, but this time in Indonesian and Arabic dub. Both dubs were decent at best. Thank goodness Maddie's VA in both dubs can sing, otherwise ruining the emotional lyrics of "Maddie's Lullaby". However, the VAs in both dubs also need to work on their scream. When your character is falling from great height, then you scream like you yourself is falling. My biggest gripe is in the Indonesian dub. The dialogues were quite muffled, so much that I thought I'd gone deaf in one ear.
Just found out the animation studio behind Gnome Alone (2017) also worked on Happily N'Ever After (2007). The quality difference in those 10 years is huge. In Gnome Alone, I can make out the hair strands, freckles, the fibers on the characters' clothes, among others. Whereas in Happily N'Ever After, the textures look all flat.
Rewatched Xico's Journey, again. Completely missed out an important clue. Copi's grandmother mentioned the only one who knows the function of the mystical stone (in form of trilobite fossil broken to 3 pieces) is the Messenger. Later on, it was the dog Xico that united the stone in order to reveal a hidden entrance into the mountain. Although, it was more of an accident rather than knowledge. Furthermore, the Blue Buck made his appearance to Copi and Xico, prior to the arrival of Gus with the stone. This was a misdirection, in attempt to make the audience believe the Blue Buck is the Messenger through the rest of the movie before the big revelation.
The Arabic dub for Ruby Gillman and Gnome Alone fared a little bit better than that of Back to the Outback.
Rewatched Ruby Gillman, Gnome Alone and Rico's Journey in French dubbing. Not bad. The VAs performed way better than their Arab counterparts. Not that I understand French, same as Japanese. I just like to listen the language.

Bummed that an "interesting" character was cut from Gladiator 2? Demand the extended cut! On another note, Denzel Washington played the bad buy like he's always wanted, in the aforementioned film.

Steven Universe spinoff titled "Lars of the Stars" has been greenlit. Oddly not for Cartoon Network or Max but Amazon Prime. Didn't see that coming.

QUOTE OMG! We've waited 20 years for this (a certain scene in live-action Lilo & Stitch 2025 film)! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I've waited for 20 years to see Stitch replace Mickey Mouse as Disney's mascot. That still did not happen.

Christopher Gans' Return to Silent Hill will premiere on 26th January 2026. Finally! Can't believe it was dragged from 2024 to 2025 then to 2026, cited by Gans due to some executive producer. Fucking execs.

I feel an inexorable pull toward political radicalization, my culture is awash with it - why fight the current anymore? The moment cries out in need, who am I to disgrace myself by slinking into shadows and silence.

Man, I thought Beowulf (2007) was live-action. It's actually 3D animation with motion capture, similar to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) and The Polar Express (2004).

Spermageddon (2024) is a Scandinavian 3D animated film about a sperm on a journey to fertilize the "Egg". Ok, then. Well, one of the torrent magnets had been removed, possibly due to some DMCA strike and shit. No Rapid Gator downlink links. Not yet anyway. And... Oh, vome on now! Someone please upload Tad the Lost Explorer 2 remux already!!!

QUOTE Dr. Bambi J. Barbenheimer, a brilliant scientist doll, and the other female dolls in Dolltopia attempt to destroy the patriarchy by building an atomic bomb. Thankfully it's a parody. Otherwise, the plot is cursed.

I wonder if DaFuq?!Boom! ever watched Hades Project Zeorymer, because I keep seeing similarities to it. Titan Cameraman 2.0 burning things with the energy of his reactor core... that's exactly what Zeorymer's ultimate attack was. He looks like a Zeorymer mech. All the Cameramen giving the thumbs up in unison at the end of ep 50... it's exactly like all the soldiers saluting when Zeorymer leaves on its final mission. I keep wanting to call the Cameraman base Last Guardian. And the Ferris wheel in the dark in ep 44... that was in Zeorymer too.

I want a new season for StarBeam, Team Zenko Go and Action Pack. Hell I'd be happy to see The Hollow and Hello Ninja get renewed even. But Netflix gave me Kpop Demon Hunters instead. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
