The FB group "M. Night are traitors to the Avatar fan base" has changed its name to "Netflix and M. Night are traitors to the Avatar fan base". That escalated quickly.
The killer in Velma S2 turns out to be Scrappy-Doo. Unlike the previous season, the dong removal is purely accidental due to the mutt's height. Also, the killer isn't among the characters onscreen. Despite this, there were hints in previous episodes, set in plain sight that suggests the killer is a dog. It's cool. I've always dislike Scrappy-Doo from the classic show. He was too annoying to watch, so insufferable that I wished something bad would happen to him. Now Velma made that wish come true.
He is also clearly fearless, or more likely just extremely dense, since he charged at Goldar, Squatt and Baboo in anger despite Goldar wielding a massive sword and charging at the Ultrazord and its massive cannons.
That actually applies to almost every other monsters throughout the Power Rangers series.
Could not find Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken on Netflix. Supposedly Netflix is supposed to "hold" the movie for 10 months since February. Is this is a US-Only deal? I was really looking forward watching it on 4K.
Currently watching Battle Kitty on Netflix and I dig it. I was initially put off by less-than-stellar voice work on some of the characters. Nonetheless the rivalry between Kitty and Zaza Royale is kind of amusing and then there's a sense of mystery regarding Angel Royale and the Last Monster (the final boss that fought and killed Angel Royale) that's making me hook to the series. Also, it's not very often one of the protagonists is an orc. Genuinely a nice guy rather than a mindless savage portrayed in other medias.
Looking at this forum made me think back to Final Fantasy Shrine Forum, and made me wonder how everyone who I knew on there was doing. Also made me think if there's any other place like that left for sharing hard to get, out of print, and fan ripped/compiled soundtracks.
The governing system described in Starship Troopers is intriguing from a perspective of how it could be reformed
I refuse to believe it is completely without merit, there are some fascinating aspects proposed as to elevating those who truly care about the system to positions of influence over it

"service guarantees citizenship" affords more opportunities and ways to become a citizen to able-bodied individuals who can serve in a defense force. Even if you have no special skills, if you are able bodied you can serve your people in a way that demonstrates your willingness to do things "for the common good," ostensibly. If you are not able-bodied, you have to compete with everyone else trying to make ends meet to find a job where you are seen as "serving" the people, which can be more difficult depending on a variety of factors.
Maybe not "without merit," but to me (an idiotic, overly-idealist near-pacifist) it celebrates some of the wrong things and assumes that basically good people never do bad things or things that have unforseen negative consequences for their peers while thinking they are doing what is right.

Hey, not so rough on yourself unless that is your thing, the wedding of conflict to the narrative in Starship Troopers is inherently off-putting whether that was intended or not by Heinlein - unless one indulges too seriously in 40K quotes.
This is kind of an interesting perspective on the matter, though not necessarily my own interpretation: [files.catbox.moe] https://files.catbox.moe/av7bb4.pdf

If Kickstart Entertainment had opened a YouTube account and started posting StarBeam-related videos, that could only mean one thing. The series has truly ended. Worse, it ended with a cliffhanger. The special episode way back at end of 2021 was meant to be a teaser for Season 5 with a proper finale. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Refused to continue watching Exploding Kittens and rated it with a thumb's down on Netflix. The first show on Netflix I actually ever gave a thumb's down.
I think Nneka Okoye might be actually be British rather than Australian. Well, if she can put on a highly convincing General American accent for Kit Casey in The Creature Cases, then it's no surprise that she put on a good Australian accent when voicing Lola in Berry Bees.
