Did not like the cat's design in The Amazing Maurice. Too... Chubby? Also during the climax, when all the rats from town and the forest "fused" into the Rat King's "body", I thought he was going to be monster-sized, like as big as house. But instead he only gained like 3 or 4 feet tall. Kinda wasted.
When you think Polar Express is too uncanny valley and uncomfortable to watch, you suddenly see a trailer for the new creepy-ass movie M3GAN. Ugh, stop.
I had a hunch at the beginning of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile: what if Hector Velenti is secretly a villain? Given how much he is pushing Lyle into showbiz but keep failing. Thankfully, it didn't turn out that way. But he did betray Lyle for money, before deciding to redeem himself.
The German Blu-ray version of Conni and the Cat is 3 minutes shorter than the English-dubbed version. Haven't watched both, so I don't know yet what was cut or changed.
When I came across this and saw him fill the guitar with water, I gasped with fright because that will destroy it. But listen to the sound it creates. Absolutely beautiful. Perhaps there's an effect pedal out there that can mimic that sound. Or better yet, have a custom guitar made with a protective reservoir inside to hold the water. But even still, any kind of moisture can damage or warp an acoustic. Pretty creative, though.
Disney's Strange World failed at the Box Office I just found out. No wonder it's available on Amazon Prime for streaming. Otherwise it would have been a Disney+ exclusive.

Edit because I forgot to put my thought: As a Trekkie, I feel sort of embarrassed that I forgot the theme for Star Trek: The Motion Picture had the original music of what would become the theme for ST:TNG. It's just that I hadn't seen the movie in a shit ton of years and when it came on TV recently, you can imagine how my brain melted when I heard it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
When I came across the video on YT, I had to post it in case someone else forgot or for newer fans who didn't know.

I finally recognized the voice actor for Sgt. Sasha Spritz in Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong is the same guy who voiced Mayor Shelbourne from the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs TV series.
I'm fully aware the Magic Mixies series is more of an advertising vehicle for the toy line of the same name, than it is about story. The setting is proof of that: girl finds a magic gem hidden in her grandmother's attic for whatever reason, accidentally gets teleported to a magical dimension and now has to find a way home after the portal closes. A convenient excuse for the random appearance of objects for the creation of Magic Mixies creatures. The relationship between the gem and the girl's family and the antagonist's nature and motivation are never explained by the last episode.
I watched the series anyway. Voice acting is at least decent, as is the art style. The animation itself however is rather subpar.
