WW84 contradicts BvS, ZSJL contradicts Aquaman, Black Adam contradicts Shazam. DCEU brand is pointless and the "director-oriented approach" is just an excuse to dismiss the mess WB created after firing Zack Snyder. The U in DCEU stands for Universe, not Universes.
Anyone has any recommandation about a Movie where Human collonized other planet instead of being collonized & they fight humanoid aliens instead of the usual insectoid ones?

I've been watching The Best of The Joy of Painting that's airing on the Create channel. I haven't seen The Joy of Painting in ages, Bob Ross is amazing to bust out a painting in a half an hour.
I can recall when certain visual aesthetics once symbolized an act of authenticity - of something genuinely exhilirating, creative, personal...unrefined, unenumerated, eluding easy definition and documentation.
Now these same aesthetics have been contrived, classified, catalogued and made presentable...all daring reduced to comforting, commercial, accessible acts - manufactured longing rendering their central muse mundane and mirthless, inert of ideas, devoid of the ecstasy of free energy of expression they once encapsulated.
I'm crestfallen at the amount of animation that briefly flourished during the last few years only to now be unceremoniously shelved as the pandemic has lessened. All of that creative talent and efforts, those briefly buoyed artistic dreams - just swept away like so much dust... It's cruel.
Even if I personally didn't care or connect to the vast majority of it - it still hurts to see, as I know countless others did.
Hopefully that doesn't mean StarBeam is cancelled, merely delayed.
I've never seen StarBeam myself (it's not something I'm personally interested in), but I sincerely hope it is renewed - if only so that you may continue to enjoy it!
I'd hate to see another cartoon prematurely killed-off...

While I admit no series can go on forever (maybe except for the Simpsons. And maybe SpongeBob SquarePants...), the New Year Special of StarBeam seems like it's a setup for a dramatic finale in the form of Season 5. It would be a total waste if after all that, Netflix decided not to give the series a proper send-off.
Velma is Indian, has a crush on Fred Jones and may or may not turn out to be a Bi Shaggy is Black, "anti-drugs" and has a crush on Velma. Daphne has two mothers and may or may not have a crush on Velma. Fred... Well, he somehow becomes a murder suspect and for some reason have not undergone puberty despite he is 16-years old. Scooby-Doo... For whatever reason, the studio mandated that this icharacter - a staple to the whole Scooby-Doo franchise - be excluded from the series.
In the new Amazon series Star Trek, there are no stars and no trek. James T. Kirk is 19 year old gamer trash living on UBI and in a bisexual polygamous relationship with Mister Spock and Ilya Chekov. He suffers from severe anxiety disorder and never leaves the house. He can't play Eve Online or Space Truckers because it triggers his agoraphobia.
I guess they don't have a dog because live animals are very expensive to work with and take over the production of a series if they're a main character. Like how they cheaped out and made Luna a plush toy in the live action Sailor Moon. I would have made Scoob a furry who always wears his fursuit and lives as Shaggy's pet. They had said Velma is going to be a lesbian, period, not bi. So the reveal will obviously be that Fred is on puberty blockers because she's Velma's trans girlfriend.
I should DM them the fursuit idea.
See, if it was a 1960s show, you would just have used a guy in a suit, like H.R. Pufnstuf, or the gorilla from Ghostbusters, and relied on the audience to understand. So, we can update that. In the new show, we have a transdog wearing his appliance.
