While Monster House wasn't give a Japanese dub, Gnome Alone, The Emoji Movie and Flushed Away does. Never have I watched 3 movies in a row in a single night.
Nakai Takawira sounded like a Japanese name. Thus in Team Zenko Go, I assumed she voiced Ellie, a character of Asian descent. But nope. Turns out Nakai Takawira is black and is actually the VA for Niah.
A bit disappointed that Justin Time GO! Didn't get a Japanese dub by Netflix, still nice to revisit the series I last watched back when I still was still in Limbang.
While reading a manga recently, I thought on how I have a culture gap with those characters that make taking a train not a big deal and possibly even a daily routine. Though this gap may even exist between me and real people within my own country too.
When I saw the title Big Tree City, I immediately thought of Happy Tree Friends. They both feature anthropomorphic animal characters but minus all the mindless, extreme gore for the former. Instead it's about the a city rescue team on mission to solve everyday problems in the city they live in.
If the protagonist of Maison Ikkoku was teleported in our day and age, after a few days, he would be thrown into a black van, half-skinned, then burned on the stake, by the #MeToo extremists that caught him. He may have been thrash even in its own time to some extent. TBH I would support the process just because in addition to everything else, he's a smoker.
I've watched so many movies with plot twists that I predicted correctly who was behind the Kraken "attack" in Sharkdog's Halloween special. It wasn't out of nowhere either. The hints were there twice.
The conclusion of StarBeam's New Year special seemingly hinted what's to come for Season 5. Unfortunately, neither the animation studio nor Netflix have confirmed a new season.
In Season 3 episode of PJ Mask titled "Storm of the Ninja", there's a riddle that says "the strongest tree has many small branches". Should've been roots instead of branches. Makes more sense because the heroes were trying to stop an out-of-control wind storm accidentally conjured by Night Ninja and it's the roots that keep the tree from toppling over. Using the tree as a metaphor for the team, the members are the roots of the tree.

Rio, from Lifeline (PS2 game) apparently has a fine appreciation for the shattering of expensive mirrors via discharging bullet into them, which is done if the player decides to actually ask Rio to "shoot" the mirror. However, she will simply fire on most other mirrors - without comment - if asked, on command. So she likes shooting mirrors, but is apparently less enthusiastic depending on the quality...?
Is this an artifact of the English translation/localization of the game, or an actual character trait...? Why is Rio so particular about what mirrors she enjoys shooting? I NEED to know!!!?
